@nprofile…z0uk unfortunately the PC-DOS 2000 share refuses to run on FreeDOS due to it not matching the version of DOS running. Which makes sense.

@nprofile…z0uk IMHO, the issue is probably with FreeDOS's share along with some of the ones I've had. I'll play with it later.
Wonder if I can yank PC-DOS 2000's Share for testing...

@nprofile…z0uk still will file bug reports when I can file a better bug report than "I dunno, some things crash at some times"
This computer may also be slightly cursed: it has major stability issues with Windows 3.11 under MS-DOS 6.22 but not under PC-DOS 2000 or DR-DOS 7.03 using the stock memory managers and same drivers for all of them.

@nprofile…z0uk will do
Honestly I'm the most curious about how badly the Windows driver installers that mess with AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS take those not existing due to FDAUTO.BAT and FDCONFIG.SYS
Not that I want them to touch them. The ESS Audiodrive 1868 windows drivers do nasty things to those I have to revert due to adding drivers for a CD ROM drive I don't have and clashing with Unisound elsewhere.

@nprofile…z0uk Awesome! Do I still need to add:
InDOSPolling=TRUE``` to the SYSTEM.INI like I've seen in some blog posts, and will it work on FAT32?

@nprofile…z0uk Do you know if these prebuilt binaries have the Windows 3.1 compatibility option enabled?
Pretty much the last thing I'm using any other DOS for, I just haven't figured out OpenWatcom yet to build it myself...

After trying to spend last night rigging up CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files for MS-DOS 6.22 that let me pick at boot between EMS+XMS memory, XMS memory in a safe configuration, an XMS configuration aggressively mapping UMBs, no memory manager at all, and Windows 3.11 (which inexplicably for me only loads with HIMEM.SYS but no memory manager) all while working around the very touchy initialization tool for my sound card on MS-DOS 6.22, I suddenly understand the appeal of Windows 95 at the time even more. :ac_laughter:

60 minute queue time in Final Fantasy XIV for Pandamoneum 8 Normal before I got in. Jeez.
I'm completely log-jammed because MSQ (main plot quests) also requires me to do an solo instance right now, and I can't do Alliance Raids until I progress MSQ. And you can't enter solo duties when queued for a multiplayer duty so...
I even asked the players in the raid "are you mentor roulette" (the duty that fills the longest waiting queues), but no, they were all Raid Roulette. I hadn't even been in queue long enough for the mercy system to kick in.
this is increasingly absurd, I just need to read a book or something while waiting lol
