experimental support for tool calling is now available in inference bridge. i don't recommend using this in production, but it's there if you want to play with it. it's been working great for me.

we are back in business. turns out rate limits are super low for gemini 3.5 flash. i thought it was much higher. good news is i was able to swap the model out with gemma 4 31b which tends to give funnier responses than gemini 3.5 flash imo.

on-device inference provider option is coming to inference bridge. working great so far. this option downloads gemini nano in your chrome browser and allows you to use that for apps like asshole detector that have ai features powered by the inference provider api. gemini nano doesn't seem to like protips though 😂.

inference bridge shows you what data is being sent to the inference provider of your choice and asks you for permission to send it. i mostly use ollama so all inference happens on my machine. inference bridge doesn't use any dependencies. code is here if you wanna look at it.

if you still use nostr-zap, i suggest updating to v1.3.2 which i just deployed. i recommend using the integrity hash when loading the script to prevent supply chain attacks. see the readme for the recommended script to use.
with attackers going ham with ai and attacking everything, i'm starting to go through my old projects and either upgrading or decommissioning apps that i no longer want to maintain.
