Sure, it’s the ladder they’re *standing on,* but anyone who’s watched Road Runner cartoons knows that you keep standing in the air after you take away the platform.
This connects directly to the current administration being filled with people who love gangster movies because they never bothered to watch them all the way to the end. (And every other story, or history, that they try to cite in their favor.)

It’s a social and professional ladder pull, and it suppresses critical thinking. It’s exactly what the beneficiaries of a stratified society want.

And yes, Text Replacements are, officially speaking, turned on.
Smart quotes still work only when I type very slowly.

I have a ton of keyboard text replacements defined on my Mac (and synced to my iPhone), but they don’t work when composing a post in Mac Ivory.
Ivory 2.2.3, macOS 15.1, M1 MacBook Air.

“Whereas every mainstream pollster has deemed this race a ‘coin flip’ since Kamala Harris entered the fray in July, Michael's data — which, again, throws out pollsters who create conservative dream scenarios — shows Harris as the hands-on favorite to win the presidency.”

Thanks for prompting me to check that. I’ve edited my original post here and replaced a parallel post on Bluesky.
*I* was confused by what I heard at the pharmacy. Some *manufacturing lots* of Novavax (like the package they had at that CVS) expire soon. I think a pharmacy tech phrased it as if they’d no longer have Novavax at all after the end of the month.

My family got our Novavax covid boosters at CVS yesterday. It’s apparently only available through the end of October because of a limited FDA authorization window.
The pharmacist said that other patients have also requested Novavax and told her, as we’ve experienced, that it’s gentler than Pfizer and Moderna.
Got our flu shots, too. Stay safe, everyone.

I’ve watched this four times and it hasn’t stopped being spellbinding and uplifting. @npub1ncm…270v is a masterful presenter, especially in that, in a perfectly composed and paced presentation, everything feels like it’s straight off the top of his head.

I have heard Tim Walz’s style referred to as “tonic masculinity,” and it balms my soul like a crisp autumn breeze.
