'Back in the pandemic' is more accurate than the 'Spanish Flu' name was in the 20th century for the bird flu. We have people speaking about the 'before times' but if we can't agree on what happened, how can we talk about it? The USA is now sliding towards two million total dead from COVID, so the societal trauma is continuing. I just feel societies need to discuss what happened to us, regardless of name. That's very interesting regarding your dissertation. What name would you call that period? We have people calling colloquially that period 'back in the pandemic'. But since the virus continues, there has to be a better name. 'lockdown period'? initial COVID wave'? It's also difficult to have that period &
discuss it if people ignore it happened. IMO there is a collective social trauma from that period, but until people can name it and agree it happened, How will we deal with that?
