I think with all this ETF nonsense, it's not really Bitcoin people are buying any more, they're settled in cash. Exchanges are going to do to Bitcoin what fiat/banks did to gold. Fake their balances and absorb any real capital, since most won't bother to self-custody. Strategy isn't going to market buy on Bitfinex either.
And even if it were genuine, as the price gets higher, it can absorb more capital without ripping our faces off.

What if there's a "dark" market for Bitcoin? Strategy, all these governments and companies starting Bitcoin reserves, etc, do you really think they're going to be buying it on open markets like Binance? No. They'll be buying directly from miners, or whales, "over the counter". Retail dictates the public price, but all of these massive deals are not happening on public platforms. Whose to say they even use the public price as a reference point? Governments, individuals, companies, are free to exchange bitcoin at whatever price they agree on. I just don't see big corporations and governments boosting the Bitcoin price "authentically" by using open markets. They get their supply elsewhere. Keep in mind as well, that exchanges can overstate their bitcoin balances and absorb any money coming in without letting the price skyrocket. This will only become apparent when these big players settle to onchain addresses.

Really getting tired of every single retailer, coffee shop, corner store and parking lot trying to get you onto their app. Oh, why, is it precisely the same app as everything else, just with a different skin and data policy? And I'm not suggesting some uber-alles rewards or customer app either.
We seriously need to move past this phase of appifying every single possible customer experience. There is surely one way, that everyone can use, without going down some app lane. There should be client on one side, seller or service on the other, some core functionality in the middle, and the parties are completely interchangeable, without having to burden the client with another damn app.

Am I losing my mind, or would lowering the inflation target not require _raising_ interest rates? If you drop rates at the same time as the target, you don't achieve it because inflation spikes, since more loans (at higher values) become more likely, raising money supply and increasing overall exposure to defaults.
If you want lower inflation, ie "harder money", it should be harder to aquire, which means _increasing_ interest rates. No?

The 21m cap of Bitcoin does not apply if people are buying wBTC or keeping BTC on exchanges. They might as well be IOU's. The fact that this fake Bitcoin will absorb real capital is concerning. People will get burnt, and this will affect the value of actual BTC. People will exchange fake BTC with each other, and not realise the bait and switch, and the true value of Bitcoin will not be realised.
