Nice./ I started this site in Jan 2021, in sub tropics. Earthworks for six months and nursery work, ready for May 21st planting, dropping over 6k perennials into a bit more than 1.5 acres, Ponds, wetlands, and four duck ranges with a central multi-door house. Main crops are mulberry, tree tomato, elderberry, turmeric, taro root, chayote, and passion fruit. And duck eggs and smoked duck!

wwhat else have you tried? Astral just doesnt seem great to me. Maybe im missing something, but i dont even see a reaction button. I have also played around with Nostr Console, which is fun, but its CLI and it also seems to not be great at pulling in data

Greetings! Im Duck WWillow, a permaculture and homesteading practitioner for almost 20 years. My attraction to homesteading was driven by a desire to be independent of violent and destructive systems. After learning how to read the landcape, store water, and groww food, I moved up the hierarchy of need. Produce my own energy, build my own house. And then I realized how dependent I had become on shadow powers in the digital realm. My bitcoin journey began, and the pursuit of a peaceful monetary existence led to full nodes, lightning nodes, and self custody. Nostr seems like such an exciting protocol that is still in its infancy, but has enormous potential for creating true free speech. Currently playing with Nostr Console and Bija. Pumped to be here and learn as much as I can and get to know some good folks along the way!

Been sober for 2.5 years and not looking back. Bitcoin was a big part of that change. As so many people point out, it makes you think about your future in a whole new (and positive) way.
