If You upgrade PKGBASE FreeBSD from 15.0 to 15.1-RELEASE version make sure You have these packages installed after 'pkg upgrade' command:
- FreeBSD-pam
- FreeBSD-pam-dev
- FreeBSD-pam-lib
- FreeBSD-zstd-lib
Because w/o them - You will not be able to login(1) or use pkg(8) at all.

Its not bad - but few things could have been done better:
- add 'The Power to Serve!' as its main motto
- use nice Beastie Daemon image
- move 'dark/light' switch to top with rest of the settings

Another great article that goes straight to latest Valuable News issue - thank You for writing it :)
Now ... I would probably add least needed and least technical comment here - but that also hit me in the past ... the 'special' ASCII character ... misalign like 9 in 10 times.
Using 'regular' chars like '|' or '+' instead always aligns these ASCII diagrams well.

Thank You for another interesting article - will definitely add it to next VN.
... and yes - ZFS on Linux mostly just works - even with root on ZFS.
Its not hard to achieve that.
The valuable ingredient that is missed most of the time is ZFS Boot Environments.
Its little harder to add and integrate ZFSBootMenu - but that is also doable - a lot of guides exist out there.
Another level is making that root on ZFS work with LUKS encryption ... but that leaves additional unencrypted /boot partition with EXT4 or XFS.
That is the level of integration Linux is not able to reach - the FreeBSD level. FreeBSD does not need any additional UFS /boot partition to 'decrypt' the root on ZFS that is installed on GELI encryption - its all supported by the FreeBSD loader(8) - the loader(8) asks you for GELI password before boot - then after typing proper password you have decrypted GELI and root on ZFS with ZFS Boot Environments to use.
What is more interesting - is that a Linux distribution that offers root on ZFS (with LUKS or not) with integrated ZFSBootMenu does not exist - there are only guides/howtos/... no single Linux installer does this ... which is strange because if you check these guides/howtos its relatively simple - you just need to type needed commands in particular order and its done.
More like political problem then a technical one ...

Most UNIX people know the bash(1) fork bomb :(){:|:&} code.
If you wnat to check the graphical equivalent then try this one :)
FreeBSD # pkg install -y mesa-demos
FreeBSD # pkg info -l mesa-demos | grep /bin | while read I; do ${I} & done
Not really fork bomb - just 300+ :)

FreeBSD has best features often DECADES before Linux prises them as 2nd coming of Christ ... same for FreeBSD Jails from 2000 while Docker started at 2013.

...but there is one thing that #Deltachat does not provide while it works perfectly fine with #Signal ... the desktop client that works on #FreeBSD and is available in #FreeBSD pkg(8) packages.
The 'web' approach (such as https://web.whatsapp.com for WhatsApp) would also satisfy my needs - I can use a client in the browser - but if there is no 'native' client and no browser client option for #FreeBSD - that means total NO-GO for me.
