Apple finally gave the iPad everything we asked for—windowing, external displays, pro apps. It doesn't matter.
Fundamental problems baked into iPadOS are unsolvable. The iPad has Mac hardware while running phone software, and it's architecturally stuck there.

Now that I have my first iPad with cellular, I understand why so many people have been begging for cellular Macs for years.
Having native cellular support is soooooo much better than tethering. It's faster, doesn't kill your phone battery, more reliable, etc.

AirPods Pro 3 impressions:
• ANC is significantly better than APP2.
• Fit is more comfortable.
• Transparency mode is weirdly sibilant and scratchy compared to APP2. Like, I can hear “more,” but not as realistically. Not a fan.
• Not a fan of the sound signature. Too bassy.

First road trip with the KIA EV9 a smashing success! This pulled about 400 Wh/mi (which isn’t great), but that was in 103 deg F weather and traveling 85MPH up 6,000 ft of elevation.
Was still pulling 200 kW from the charger at 70% which is amazing—especially given the temps!

It’s finally on the wall! Took forever with electrical, a 9” box install, blocking, and more, but it looks pretty decent already!
I still need to add our frame (see last pic for reference) and an art light, but I think it’ll be convincing

What’s to be said of latency? No idea. And despite Samsung marketing it as “mini-LED,” it’s totally not. Still an edge lit QLED, just with smaller LEDs lol
So I’m not optimistic, but I so very much want it to be good, because it’s the only choice.

So little space that even the old Frame TV wouldn’t work because we can’t have an entertainment console beneath—no floor space.
The new wireless “One Connect” box is hyper appealing cause I can stick it (and my Apple TV/game consoles) in a cabinet in a nearby room.

I’m honestly the perfect customer for this TV. We had a family room but turned it into a nursery before my daughter was born and we haven’t had a TV since then.
I refuse to put a black box in my historic (and pretty) front room, but we lack much space at all.

The Samsung Frame TV has always been very popular (cause aesthetics), but a terrible value and generally bad TV.
The new “Frame Pro” promises to fix a lot (for a massive price increase) but no reviews exist (only sponsored content).
So I bought one to see if it’s still junk.

This is the coolest part in the whole Mac mini. You’ve got your cooler’s cold plate pushing heat through a curved heat pipe to the exhaust radiator attached to the blower intake fan.

M4 Mac mini’s SSD (better said, flash chip) is removable. Don’t think you can go buy an SSD on Amazon, but this is promising for future repairability.

The Mac mini’s 200W PSU is gorgeous. Has horizontally placed components that go through the PCB to reduce z-depth (we saw this first on Studio Display).
Stunning.
Update: 12.6*12.3=154.98
Don’t ask Siri to do math for you.
It’s 150W PSU. Not 200W.

You can buy two base model (16GB RAM / 256 GB SSD) Mac mini for the price it costs to upgrade a single Mac mini to 32GB RAM / 512GB SSD.
Apple’s upgrade pricing has been extortionate for years, but this is getting literally insane.

Been rather unhappy with 1Password autofill lately, so dipping my toe into the new iOS/macOS Passwords app and it's good; however, it's missing a few crucial features imo:
• no custom fields
• no ability to generate passwords of custom length or incl/excl specific characters
• no favorites category
• no secure "items" functionality for credentials (not notes/passwords) like SSN, EIN, known traveler, bank account details, etc.
• no password history
