I hope you don't mind the slightly offtopic question: I want to try Rust on ESP32, can I do this only with Arch packages? I want to avoid rustup, cargo install and so on 🤔️

well, sure, thats obvious. But if I unlock my good LUKS password, log in and lock the screen. Is it still easy to get to my data? I would guess it would be somehow possible to read the RAM and therefore my LUKS key by opening up the device but other than that?

ich frag mich warum die das überhaupt auf dem Weg versuchen. Technisch gesehen wäre es doch schlauer Google und Apple (und wenn wir schon dabei sind gleich noch Microsoft) zu zwingen den Regierungen Zugriff auf die Geräte zu geben... Dann könnten die auch alle Dateien überprüfen und nicht nur die, die verschickt werden und einzelne Apps könnten sich nicht wehren.
Und moralisch gesehen macht es auch keinen Unterschied mehr, tiefer als Chatkontrolle können die eh nicht mehr sinken...

The hardware doesn't change, is there really that much work to keep them alive? If a CVE gets found someone will patch it and most CVEs will not be in the drivers anyways so this is not an argument about security, is it?
And if something breaks there are people who can fix it in the linux mobile space for example and probably those working on custom ROMs (LineageOS?) too.
