Lich 💔

I had this one patient I’d constantly have to give 40-45 units of glargine insulin to twice a day because he’d have his family bring those huge plastic cups from stripes full of soda and a bunch of sweets. his blood sugar stayed in the highest, nearing 400 at times, levels of the 300s.

I got sick of that on the medsurg floor. you’d have these people who are sick from their poor lifestyle choices getting to continue with those poor choices even after the consequences. diabetic amputees with a bedside table full of candy and sweets after another progressive amputation.

sitting in dialysis the other day and the nigga in the chair 2 chairs down from me is eating a big ass burger with fries and drinking a big ass soda as his blood is being cleaned.

9/11 jokes weren’t thinly veiled vicarious murder fantasies, though. they were like an awareness of the government being willing to do evil things to turn around and justify GWoT, which was a whole mess.

they demonized the most milquetoast political dude and ghoulishly continue to gravedance as if they have some kind of righteous indignation. you peel back that illusion and you start to see that these cretins were never really about things like “empathy and compassion“, they just couldn’t stand anyone who didn’t validate or fall in line with their ideals.
kirkifying mr spiral makes me angry because that’s from a video where he’s actively sexually abusing a child. all of the images of him are from videos and photos of him doing that.

2026-07-03 18:14:57 GMT

I think if you wear this in public then I should be legally allowed to kill you. this is a result of years of irony poisoning and people making “epstein didn’t kill himself” memes on top of “diddyblud ahh” type jokes. it was a psyop to normalize pedophiles and make shit like parading around in a shirt with a kirkified image of an infamous CSAM producer seem acceptable.

no prob, I’d definitely complain to legal if you can. At the very worst your case is dismissed. There’s a duty to minimize the harm, intentional or otherwise, that cause to the patient. I pride myself on my venipuncture skills, but it’s something I don’t trust many with.

The patency of the line is also important to test since it can clog up and you won’t get your drug.

Not testing for me at this point would just equal an AMA leave since they’re mostly checking my serum levels and doing a CBC.
Venipuncture is some that I feel needs to be all or nothing. Like either you’re good and don’t hurt the patient or you have someone else who is.

2026-05-26 17:47:42 GMT

the nurse who put my IV line in this morning messed up and didn't push saline to test its patency. I could've done it myself and do a better job with one hand.

I’m hoping this all doesn’t get memoryholed as we’ve gotten halfway through the decade. There’s a lesson to be learned and taught that not only are corporations and the government not your friend, but they thrive off of such wickedness. I won’t forget that year’s fuckery.

It still baffles me that they’d bury Floyd in a gold casket and made his funeral a big public event while I couldn’t even go to my uncle’s funeral because people were still afraid of a virus that only killed people with underlying medical conditions.
