Great write-up and justification for separating funds with new wallets. Top-up, spend and replenish.
Makes total sense to limit the amount of funds each service has access to. Rather than having complex configurations in macaroon files that depend on user awareness, fresh wallets will give us what we need. As you say we’re already doing it day to day with custodial solutions and users benefit by not exposing private keys.
Love what I see you’re building at Mutiny. Can’t wait to dive deeper into the API.

I know myself that moves like this are never easy. The good thing is you have your wife’s family to support you both. And Mercosur will still allow you to jump around if need be.
I do believe that such mandates are easier to circumvent this side of the water, than in Europe. You will find like-minded people who are prepared to help you, less worried about the ramifications. As the Sovereign Individual states:

Ideally. However a second citizenship is likely sufficient, as a 1st step.
If you have a citizenship, that country will very likely let you in. If you have a 2nd passport, the leaving country cannot likely keep you in.
Providing you have enough time to arrange travel, a 2+ year temporary citizenship is likely sufficient for most use cases. Particularly as a stepping stone to a passport 🤙

Going from USA to Germany is like moving states in my opinion. It would be better to stay, rather than move from one potentially chaotic place to another.
My advice to most people would be to explore Central and South America or parts of Asia, sooner rather than later.
Europe has arguably more problems than the U.S. right now. They are intentionally creating a nationalistic reaction.
Think about immigration flows, political differences inside the country, family, protests, purchasing price index and access to resources. Germany is de-industrialising, just the rest of Europe to follow.
People fleeing to the West are going in the wrong direction, just at the wrong time IMHO.

The easiest way is to use vacations as scouting missions. Pick a region & hit-up 2-3 locations in 2 weeks. Get a feel for the place.
Family & belongings complicate things, but it can be done in stages. Once you have a place in mind, it will focus your mind.

💯 agree. Just to add:
- Prepare your documents in advance and get them apostilled. They are often only valid for 6 months.
- Have somewhere in mind, that you know you could settle. Ideally visit first.
- Ask yourself what would need to happen to pack-up and go. Write it down somewhere visible.
Options are available until they are not. You have a backup of your data, you should also have a backup for your life 🏠

It’s an impossible game. Bots are here to stay and will probably outwit the barriers imposed.
Think we simply need to rely less on feeds and more on curated content, powered by trust graphs of people you’re following.
Pay to post also. There needs to be a cost of creating content and to be put infront of people’s eyeballs.
My point was that the moves X are making is not for protecting users from ‘fake news’. It’s about being able to have everyone use X as the value transfer mechanism. They want to be the biggest bank in the world. To be that they need your identity.

Furthermore, I sense we're underplaying the importance of more flexible filtering.
With now zero cost for content creation, it's incredibly important to filter signal amongst the noise. Custom filtering & algorithms for users should become the norm over curated lists & content.
Setting a minimum zap for DMs, minimum zaps for posts to appear in the feed, automatic categorisation & tagging - all of these bring power to users. Would love to see more experimentation in this area

Its clear to me that with this AI expansion, we will each have virtual assistants with us at all times, working for our own independent interests… but the idea of a robot walking around and picking up after me will likely go the way of the flying car.

Blue ocean strategy 🌊 speaks about just that.
Decent example is how Cirque de Soleil, took a 1) low-margin business of 2) high-cost main performers and cheap tickets targeting 3) youth & families. Instead they built a 1) high-margin product with 2) lower cost performers targetting expensive tickets for 3) a wealthy adult audience.
The same pivots are happening in software and with even fewer clowns & stage performers 🤡

- Facebook works against their users by selling their data.
- AirBnB works against their own users by becoming too pricey.
- Google has to surface advertisements ahead of more relevant organic content.
- Banks have to limit customers from withdrawing deposits to continue serving others.
- Governments cannot slow their size & become a drag for economies.
- Twitter has to gag & surveil it’s users to ‘protect’ them.

- The ability to cut-off a “foreign adversary” be it a country, corporation, individual, website, network or app (OR ALL)
- No due process whatsoever
- Ramifications with up to 20 years in jail for circumventing these new laws, for merely attempting to operate or financially transact around them
