For obvious reasons I am thinking about a #degoogle of my life. Anyone found any really good resources of websites or guides? Back 20 years I ran my own mail server but I understand it is now almost impossible to get your email delivered if you do that.
I don’t mind separating #email #calendar and #CloudStorage if necessary. Outside U.S. obviously. #indieweb

in 2019 & 21 I chaired election campaigns for a candidate. I opened 338 daily. In both cases they predicted the ultimate winner, but the margins were way off. The number polled even in national polls is so small I find the results somewhat dubious.
When you then try to extrapolate national or provincial polls to a local level with limited local knowledge it really is a "best guess". I like the site but treat the data with justified skepticism.

I find 338 can sometimes lag behind trends because of the way it aggregates the polls. Things are moving so fast in Canadian politics at the moment it's difficult to trust any data. It is such a scary time!

I have been enjoying Emma Freud's "The Archers Podcast", a fun discussion of the previous week in Ambridge with background, archive audio plus characters, crew and "fans". The only problem I have with the show is that despite the name, it is not a #podcast. It has no #RSS feed and you have to use the web or #BBCSounds app to listen to it. Very annoying that the BBC is walking away from #OpenStandards to their "walled garden" app. #TheArchers @npub1myu…dd44
