Another stupid superhero question. In the X-Men Fox movies, at the end of Days of Future Past, Mystique rescues Wolverine. It's implied that she's doing this to keep him out of Stryker's experiment program.
Does this mean he never goes through the Weapon X program run by Stryker? And he never gets Adamantium Bonded to his skeleton? So, when Wolverine goes back to the future, has he lived his whole life with just bone claws?

It's not SMR. It's supposed to be CMR based on the Red Pro and 14 TB capacity. But they can't be more than 2 years in operation, fairly light use, and 3 have failed within 12 months.
WD is dead to me. I'm getting ready to finally get off my arse and move things over to the secondary NAS which is up and running on Seagates.

Tactically speaking, I cannot understand why the civilian didn't shoot the guy after getting his weapon away form him. With no way of knowing how many folks might be out there on his side, one can't afford to spend time trying to keep track of him while looking to see what other threats exist. And, another shooter did apparently start taking shots at him from a bridge.
So, if anyone else winds up in this situation, please just shoot the bad guy and don't hesitate.

No, I'm a widower for 4 years now. But when I look back at the pictures of her as we got closer to the end, I can see how tired she was and how much pain she was in. I'm thankful she is no longer suffering.

I've probably mentioned this before, but our tradition is for St. Nicholas to bring cookies to the children on his feast day (6 Nov) along with a letter. It started out being handwritten by my wife, but when she received her terminal diagnosis, I helped her fill out a template so I could create a font of her special "Saint Nicholas" handwriting, which I now use to write the letters.
It's a sort of bittersweet day for me.

Watched the Season 2 "The A-Team" episode "The Taxicab Wars." What an enjoyable, ridiculous show that shows absolutely no regard for automobile safety. And with Michael Ironside, Ernie Hudson, and even Brion James (from Bladerunner) it was a cavalcade of 80s stars.
TV shows used to be so much fun. I'm glad my kids get to enjoy this stuff and aren't stuck with the modern drivel.

I think my 10 year old modified inkjet printer is finally getting ready to kick the bucket. I bought it from Cobra Ink (who has since closed shop), so it's modified to have infinite well ink cartridges - so I can just fill in the tubs attached to the side of the printer which has lines that run into the print head. But it's showing signs that the end is night.
Any recommendations for a multi-function printer that doesn't suck?

Old school Disney shorts were pretty awesome. My kids get a healthy dose of those, the Looney Tunes classics, and Tom & Jerry.
But 1930s Popeye is like the creme de la creme. Those original Fleischer shorts are fantastic.
I've never been a big Hannah Barbara fan, and my kids will watch Yogi Bear and Snagglepuss and such, but they don't enjoy them like the others.

I don't play many video games - not sure where I would find the time. I did play a little bit of "Death Stranding" because it was cheap on sale and looked interesting. I liked it - it was kind of zen to play a game about making connections and helping people out. The story was shit, though. And now I see DS2 clips on YouTube and Kojima wrote an even stupider story. He may have interesting ides of game mechanics, but his stories are like a stoned high school kid that thinks he's super smart.

I'm not Bitcoin expert - far from it. But it's seemed to me that it took the problem with Fiat currency (that the value of which is abstract and not attached to any real substance, such as gold, which has actual physical restraints limiting its amount) and double down on that problem to make a currency that's even more abstract than Fiat.

We only watch the good episodes, so they miss out on the more unsavory outings of each character (for example, we'll be watching none of the Troi-centric episodes).
After watching the episode where Riker serves on the Klingon ship followed by him taking command in the Season 3 finale, they've only seen him at his best. And, admittedly, his best is pretty good.

The kids have really got to dig into Star Trek: The Next Generation this month (Where "November" has gone before). We skipped most of season 1 and 2, and we're focusing on introducing the Borg (since "First Contact" is the movie to cap off the month). They're definitely into the show now - although I suspect all the girls have a crush on Riker they also really like Capt. Picard.

Dicaprio is probably a bad example, because someone of his stature wields so much pressure and influence over younger women that it's kind of skewed. However, the fact that he clearly has no intention to have any children does make it creepy, at least to me. He's basically just courting young girls to be his sex toys.

So far as creepiness goes, I honestly don't know if it's creepy for a guy to pick out a woman his own age purely based on looks. It's imprudent, for sure, but I don't know if it's creepy.
Character and maturity are a big factor in my book. It's not that looks don't count for anything, but unless there's some virtue backing those looks, it's a dead end.

Not sure - there is something to be said for companionship, but there's also something to be said for obligations to one's own family. If he picked an older woman who had kids of her own, and this now puts his inheritance to his own children in jeopardy - I could see that being troublesome. I say this knowing two guys (in their 50s) whose FATHER is getting ready to get married again (bringing new "siblings" into the family).
