Is there an extension like nostr-connect that does not hold my nsec but instead communicates with my smartphone and asks to decrypt/sign stuff?
I don’t like my nsec sitting on my laptop. Smartphones are usually more secure because apps can’t easily access other apps data.
Maybe something like the old “Whatsapp Web” where the communication is done over WIFI and when you take your phone and leave your home it automatically disconnects.

How?
When I type “holesail holesailMCServer420” and then send a GET request to localhost:8989, how does it find the ip address of the server that used the same connector?
Also, can the connector be a public-private keypair or a string/string-hash pair? Because I want others to send requests to my server without being able to try taking over other peoples’ the requests.

The main problem for technically-competent users who run a home node is bypassing the home NAT and configuring a domain, because Tor is unstable and many smartphone wallets don’t support .onion addresses.
That’s why we need http-over-nostr and lnurls/lightning-addresses that encode “.nostr” domains:

I have an iPhone and Apple doesn’t let me zap notes directly, so I developed this bot that zaps on my behalf.
When someone mentions it in a comment with a number, it will create the zap and DM the invoice to pay.
It also reposts the note.
My next phone won’t be an iPhone…

Suppose I’m building an internal dashboard, with requirements that change over time, and the developers come and go (i.e. I don’t want a steep learning curve).
React became the language that all developers learn to call themselves “Frontend Developers”.
Sorry for the mediocre approach, but the alternative has to be so much better that it would worth paying a developer that never learned it to use it.
Typescript was such a success because it’s really not that different from the Javascript that programmers already know.

How does an antizap harm the original post publisher?
Maybe we could have a special kind of zap (call it positive-zap) that:
1. Is not received immediately, but is held by the AntiZap machine for 1 week.
2. Apps need to promote positive-zaps over legacy zaps with gamification: show them in bold, prioritize them, etc. so followers who like the post will prefer using this positive-zap over a legacy zap.
3. An antizap would be sats sent (donated) to the AntiZap machine - every sat sent to the AntiZap machine will reduce 1 sat from the amount that is locked for 1 week.

I wasn’t trying to reinvent TOR. I was only trying to allow plebs who run their own home nodes to create static lnurls and share them, without the friction of buying a domain, a static ip address, bypassing the home NAT, or depending on a single provider with a single domain.

I’m working on lnurls that will encode a nostr nprofile (npub + server hints) so the communication will be via nostr DMs (that will mimic the http requests) - so plebs could use lnurls behind NAT without buying a domain and without TOR (which is generally slow and unstable).

This is the correct syntax. Did you get a DM with an invoice to pay? That’s the invoice of the zap (the payment goes directly to the zap recipient).

Every technological advancement creates new forms of solidarity between people who did not care much for each other previously.

The default one is based on LND, a more popular implementation in the Go programming language. Core-Lightning is less popular but implemented in C, which should be more efficient on weak computers like Raspberry Pis.
