I did get the bar rebuilt; I did *not* get Dys and Tang to reunite. I'm hoping there's a way to do that on a future run, but I imagine I need an even higher relationship with Dys than I had (like 85 or something?).

There were some other minor nice moments - like in this ending, Tang actually contributes to the colony gene pool - although she watches the kids like a hawk for genetic markers of anxiety and depression like her family had. (In my initial run she refused to even do that. Both her and Dys were convinced they were bad for the gene pool.)

- Rex kept running his bar and “contributed” to a lot of kids. 😂
- Tang had a moment of burnout and got kinda mad at us for not telling her Dys was a Gardener, but eventually recovered. She still died in her 60s because the human body needs sleep.
- Marz was an effective governor. More than me. In the peace scenario the colony is a post-scarcity society so she finally gets the art and luxury she wants.
- Dys eventually stops visiting. (cont.)

so finally, the last ending I got tonight:
- Brokered peace with the Gardeners.
- Astronaut. Vace and I apparently regularly go to space to explore. The final scene is us trying to go back through the wormhole.
- Parents both lived to a ripe old age and died peacefully.
- Cal and Tammy had a bunch of kids and lived happily ever after.
- Sol and Nem had one kid and Nem got really into being everyone’s Aunt Nem after all once she retired. (Cont)

Did everything the same except I didn’t bother doing the Array, I did get Vace to talk to someone about his anger, I told him I was interested in going to space (this is relevant), and - most importantly - triggered several events with Sym that I hadn’t seen him around to do before, namely the one where he takes me to the Overseer to bring a peace offer to the Governor.
(I also found Dys and bid him farewell as he went to be a Gardener.)

However, what I didn’t realize was that I had started to blow up the Array in this branch, and then didn’t. As a result, during the final battle in year 19, Noctilucent brings a bigger army than usual, and the colony was eradicated. That, it turns out, is ALSO an ending. I had no way to drum up the required colony defense, so I rewound all the way to year 17.

Second ending: did the thing with the wormhole. Transcended time.
Third ending: started a new life, picked up the engineering manuals, picked Congruence as my best friend, and told her to lower the shields. The ship blew up in the wormhole, destroying it.
Fourth ending: grew up and died in the Vertumna compound on Earth, because there was no wormhole.
Reloaded back to the ending before the wormhole. Figured I’d play out the normal ending.

First ending: Found the Array in the swamps, had Congruence build the virus for it, killed Noctilucent, and blew up the Array. I didn’t actually know this was an ending?? The only thing it mentioned at all about anyone was that since Vace and I were both heroes, it was awkward for Nem and we drifted apart in our 20s. Also, Sym - while initially glad to be an individual - actually got old and died. I reloaded back to just beforehand.

well, this run went …places.
- Maxed friendship with literally everyone except Vace and Nomi-Nomi.
- Got Nem out of her relationship with abusive shitbag Vace and started dating Nem myself
- Stopped the plague…by accidentally letting Dys blow up the lab, because I didn’t have the friendship with Tang at the time to stop it
- Elected Marz governor this time.
- At this point, things take several turns.

- also can I just say that Sym looks like you told an AI "Draw the Count from Sesame Street, but hot"
- Fully explored the Ridge, unlocked sneaking out during Glow, found the event at the end where you can just wait under the wormhole, but didn't have enough stress to stay the whole night
- Emotional whiplash: Nem gives you a gift as your secret admirer, reacts when you tell her you like her too, then she starts dating Vace?? Terrible.

run 3 (currently in year.... 17? 18? just past the birthday party where Lum crashes it to read you a shitty poem)
- Decided this was going to be the one where I saved Anemone from her shitty relationship with alpha male jerkass Vace, so I took Super Strength and focused on maxing red stats early with LOTS of exploring.
- I also gave a shit ton of gifts to everyone; currently at 90+ hearts with Nem, Tammy, Dys, Cal, Marz, Rex
- Also 100/100 w/Sym

- Found the Convergent Domain ruins at the bottom of the Ridge, but did not actually meet any aliens
- In the ending, the only real thing of note is that Marz and Sol drifted apart because she never really forgave Sol for making themselves governor, thought she was always a vital opposition candidate. I think she ended up with Tangent when it was all said and done
- Also in the ending, Sol's parents worked themselves to death - two heart attacks.

run 2:
- Saved Tammy. Did not save her dad. Oops.
- Spent a lot more time exploring and a lot more time in Command, both things I neglected in run 1
- Solved the famine by foraging for food in the Valley
- Dated Marz, then kind of made her mad when I got myself voted in as Governor (netting the Governor ending)
- Sorta forgot that Dys was gonna set off a bomb in year 9 and almost got the colony overrun

in my first run I played a mega-nerd and ended up becoming the colony's first physician (which is what I intended) and dating Tangent (and stopping their apocalyptic virus) which was cool, but then slightly failed the coup because I didn't convince the Engineer and never got another chance to do so; during the ending Tangent basically underwent catastrophic burnout because I never figured out what happened to Dys. OOF.

yeahhhh. I mean, we all know KS "estimated delivery" dates are a crock anyway, but especially this one. I've had entire campaigns start, fund, complete, and deliver in the timeframe this one's been working.

it's extremely annoying! not least of all because the Kickstarter was kinda notoriously mishandled (this company acquired a licensed property for adaptation in the middle of this KS's fulfillment that required them to essentially all-hands the entire company onto the licensed game to meet the licensee's timeframe)

I had a great time; I started a second playthrough that I’m picking at periodically. I have some quibbles with part of the endgame sequence that we can touch on when you get there. My only issue with romance was every time a new person showed up my reaction was “oh no, they’re hot.” 😂 (I ended up romancing Taash, they’re fantastic.)

never met a game with such a heartbreaking first run pretty much by design, and automatic encouragement to try again
