I think there is a potential to conflate features with security.
The Q looked really advanced with all the features that it offered, and so I think it is easy to credit the advanced features with advanced security.

I was thinking about how I could attract some people here from my profession as an alternative to Facebook Groups. So I thought perhaps I could create a group to get something started, however I don't see that function. Stacker News has groups like that, do you think that would add value? Could inviting groups that have nothing to do with Bitcoin be a nostr win?

Technically you can claim max dependents and minimize the extraction. Then you just have to have a strategy to create the write-offs and savings to complete the process at the end of the year. Such as buying miners as capital expense.

Yeah, that’s a problem. Honestly, I would be much the same situation if I didn’t marry a good woman 20yrs ago that makes about 4x my income. Paid cash for her phd. Our first house was small, but nice. Affordable. Not a very good neighborhood tho. 13 years later we bought the house we wanted with equity.
You can do it brother. Patience, hard work, frugal living.

I didn’t assume you have none since you’re here on NOSTR. Given a longer time horizon Bitcoin makes everything more affordable. And yes, you can pay your rent in Bitcoin. Strike has a bill pay feature, Aqua has a credit card feature, or you could buy gift cards. There are ways.
I agree with the economic outlook in that things are getting very expensive. Try used car shopping!
That’s great that you are doing what you want to do. I wish I could say the same.

Look at trade schools. Talked to a girl, Welder, she was making 10k a week doing 6-10’s. Lot of overtime. Point is that you make lots of money in trades, and learn skills to fix your own stuff. Self reliance.

I agree. I’ll give a PD to people that just walk in, I don’t mind. The problems began to emerge when people would bring in 5 pairs of glasses to be adjusted when Zenni and others became popular. Also, the lenses are poor quality and not well made, so the customer thinks the Rx is off. Now we have to troubleshoot the problem. $

Talking to a friend about this episode this week. Conservatives of my generation grew up with Tom Clancy novels and Ronald Reagan. Now I see that we got played, bigger govt was the outcome for democrat or republican. Republicans built the intelligence apparatus, while democrats built the social spending hierarchy.
