USA: "Why the CDC edited a key Covid metric, and what it says about the state of the virus"
The CDC raised its COVID wastewater benchmarks, so levels once considered “high” may now be labelled “moderate.” The agency says the change is intended to better reflect the current risk of COVID transmission.🤦‍♂️

Dr Amir Khan says long Covid can affect your brain, lungs, joints and skin.
Dr Amir said: "Long Covid is a really poorly understood condition, and it's a multi-system complex issue, and it will affect everyone differently. You know, everyone has a different version of long Covid because it is so multisystem, it is so inflammatory. It can cause so many different things to go wrong at the same time, and you're left with these conditions that nobody really wants to touch because there hasn't been enough investment in the understanding, but also the management."

Maybe they don’t want respirator masks in hospitals because patients suffering heart attacks, strokes, cancer, kidney failure etc might ask why people are wearing masks.
And someone might tell them.
And they’d figure out why they’re sick.
And they’d realise they’d been lied to.

Public health collapsing as COVID pandemic enters its 7th year
"The world has now entered the 7th year of the COVID pandemic, with the United States facing the 12th major wave of infections. Conservative estimates place cumulative COVID deaths in the United States at over 1.2 million, while excess-mortality analyses indicate a substantially higher toll. Globally, excess-mortality modeling places the true pandemic death toll in the tens of millions, with central estimates near 27 million worldwide, far exceeding official counts. Transmission continues at high rates—presently at roughly 1 million infections per day, with more than 240 million infections recorded in 2025 alone. Reinfections are widespread, and Long COVID remains a mass disabling condition affecting millions."

"Why a cat virus may hold answers about long COVID"
A new University of California, Davis study found that the virus linked to feline infectious peritonitis infects far more than a single immune cell type, as previously believed. Instead, it spreads across a wide range of immune cells, including those critical for fighting infection. Researchers say this broader immune impact may provide important clues for understanding long COVID and other persistent inflammatory illnesses in people.

Every reinfection increases the risk of Long COVID, chronic illness, disability and even death.
If people understood the real danger, they’d take prevention seriously instead of accepting repeated infections.

Day 12 of COVID and she’s still struggling — fatigue, hot showers just to wake up and walking her dog while actively sick. She’s missed shifts at her hospital job and is stressed about money and job security. She knows she’s still unwell but feels pressured to return, asking why she’s not recovering.

It’s worrying how many people — even doctors — are now ‘always sick’ during this ongoing pandemic.

🇪🇸 Spain may bring back indoor face mask rules as flu and COVID cases surge. Health leaders will meet on December 3 to decide whether masks should again be required in hospitals, health centers, and possibly other crowded indoor venues like cinemas or theatres to help reduce transmission.

“Long COVID has shattered every aspect of my life,” says Ella, who contracted COVID in 2021 at 19 and had to move home. Once active and social, she now spends days in a dark room with “debilitating fatigue,” exercise intolerance, brain fog, nerve pain, breathlessness and many other symptoms.

You know someone with Long COVID. They need you to ask about it genuinely.
Written by Philip Hoover
"The problem with Long COVID is that most of society would rather not see it. We want to believe the pandemic was just a bad dream we awoke from years ago. (When I hear someone say during COVID, in the past tense, I want to flip a table.)"

"New Data Shows COVID-19 Infection Much Worse For Children Than the Vaccine."
"A team of researchers from the University of Cambridge and other top institutions combed through the health records of nearly the entire population of children in England, a total of 13.9 million children and young people."
"The verdict? The vaccine is the safest bet by far. The very rare, short-term risk of heart inflammation caused by the vaccine is far less dangerous than the virus itself, which leaves children vulnerable to blood clots, heart issues, and severe inflammation for up to a year after infection."

I was going to say this isn’t normal… but with years of an ongoing pandemic, repeated infections, and the cognitive effects COVID can cause, it sadly doesn’t surprise me anymore. So many young people are struggling with memory and focus now, and nobody wants to join the dots.
