Everything is a distraction from everything else. All of it is absolutely important and significant, and fundamentally a problem, and that is the problem. So much is happening all at once that many people don't even know where to put their attention anymore. Because it all sucks!
Canada is being mistreated and disrespected, and this is something that should not be ignored. None of it should be ignored. Yet when the noise is this loud, outrage becomes just another static hum, leaving us paralyzed while everything burns at once.
That's not a justified reason for people to turn a blind eye, but it is to say, I think people are running out of mental and emotional bandwidth.
When survival feels like a full-time job, systemic abuse of power starts to look like just another piece of background weather. But that exhaustion is precisely what impunity relies on.
Donald Trump is an asshole and he needs to go, and so do all the corrupt officials who keep enabling him.
We, the United States, have a serious problem.

Ironically, Herman Cain died of COVID-19, and even more ironically, history records this, including on Wikipedia.

The cost of oil this winter is going to be insane, and I worry about all those senior citizens and others on a fixed income.

Modern ticketing systems have spam boxes with automated replies to manage public outcry.
You have to speak their language, and money is all they understand. So long as you're willing to provide them with money, everything else is white noise, and all your feelings, values, morals, and ethics are worthless.
When a corporation claims to have heard the public outcry, what they really mean is that it was finally negatively impacting their profits, not that they heard your voices. You have to speak their language and they speak with money.

The internet used to feel like a massive, weird, beautiful tree-house built by eccentric neighbors. Now it feels like a brightly lit strip mall owned by three guys.

I still would like to see an advance option to enable them.
I live in the real world and in the real world, I need it for work. I suspect others do too. It would be better to have Vanadium as opposed to a 3rd party browser which only adds more privacy concerns.

If only Vanadium allowed for web browser extensions.
I suspect my web browser Quetta is collecting marketing data, but it works with my job's browser extension.
