Man, I'm so retarded, I just don't know how to design shit at all.
Like I got the idea behind Factorio, but I can't understand how I can do better in shit like Opus Magnum. (Video so you don't have to google it)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhymQvfjMhY&list=PLVmM0UVcquYLiCLvm9dviakT-8eL1o-w8
Like I'm pretty far ahead, but I'm still at the level of kind of "bruteforcing" shit. My designs aren't smart, and I don't know how to get out of this closed-mindedness WITHOUT checking a guide, which is ANTITHETICAL TO WHAT I WANT TO DO. :wojak_pink:
EDIT: Honestly, even in Factorio, I'm not that great at designing anything new either, I'm still using old systems.

@nprofile…92n5 The thing is, she didn't patch her wounds, she just let them... Uh, heal by themselves.
Honestly though, she was going hungry and thirsty, so eventually she had to go outside, but also she could have checked the fucking kitchen (that she entered beforehand), for weapons and non-perishables, which she did not do.
The problem with this novel is that these events are disjointed, it feels like if the sequence of events is changed, it would make a lot more sense. Like she didn't have to get her class immediately, because cleaning an abandoned inn the very first minutes you walk into it makes no fucking sense, like sure, she can be "traumatized" and act erratically, but it's clear that there was a benefit to the randomness.

2025-06-10 12:29:38 GMT

I don't understand why some shit is popular.
So I was told explicitly that I will find a series with "war crimes", "interesting characters", "an intelligent and crafty main character" and "great racial differentiation and characterization".
I was lied to, I was lied to so hard I can't fucking believe it. :angery:
Ok so, our FEMALE (why?) main character starts by being chased by goblins and almost charred alive by a dragon. She escapes this fate narrowly and finds a wooden structure, an inn.
The first thing she does? She starts cleaning it, all charred and bleeding, of course.
Ok, fine, I guess she's traumatized or something, she gets an Innkeeper class because she cleaned the inn, wow, how uh... Very very lucky of her.
Now she says she's hungry, so what does she do?
Well, our "traumatized" little flower decides to go outside, where the goblins and dragons are, to search for food instead of say, checking the abandoned inn for non-perishables.
Interesting, very interesting.
After many, other traumatizing and life-threatening events that she only got out because of pure luck (literally no description of how she runs away from anything, she just runs and survives somehow), we proceed with the story, she gets herself perishable food, and water.
I continue to read, I really am curious what the fuck is going on... About 100 pages later, she actually does check the rest of the inn, a room that she already went through actually, the kitchen.
Guess what she finds? Fucking non-perishables and WEAPONS!

@nprofile…9j4q I can't get used to the X, A, etc bs on the Xbox controller though. :thinkinghrr:

So, anyone uses controllers on PC? What controller do you guys use?
I'm asking for both Windows and Linux, by the way.
When I did use controllers, I used PS3 ones and I had to go through all the hoops for them to work on Windows, I kind of lost that Windows installation like 3 installations ago and obviously the bluetooth dongle doesn't work anymore, so I stopped using a controller ages ago.
I was thinking of getting some because I'm kind of getting impatient, I can't really learn action games anymore on Keyboard, which is normal, I mean, you get used to it, but it's also true controllers have it easier.

@nprofile…cdnd >i know there's the potential of sentient AIs that CAN love you, but those generally have the same problem as real girls.
Why would that be the case? Female "love" isn't love because women are simply different from men.

@nprofile…9j4q I'll ask despite it being a bad idea. What distro should I go for if I'm a lazy fuck? I don't really need much except to play games and to have some QOL, like a search engine ("Everything" toolbar, thanks @DarkMahesvara), music, temp reading, and that's pretty much it.
I don't really use my PC for anything else, really? Do you guys have ffmpeg? What can't I run on Linux anyway except anticheat garbage (I just pirate everything btw)?

@nprofile…9j4q That sounds like a common issue with Microshit stuff, all their Office crap is so cumbersome to use. I really need to stop using Microshit stuff like Windows, but I'm so lazy. :fuuka_aah:

@nprofile…mdcj @nprofile…qexj And "underage" sex sounds like they're not referring to say, cp or something, it's probably just "she's barely 18!" shit.

I have a huge disdain for anyone that peruses "audiobooks" and claims that they're actually reading something. :angery: Fucking tourists, man.
