Last Notes npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I wanted to let everyone know Pixie is back from the vet. We received good news and less than great news. Her hips are fine, or unchanged, the issue is in her knee. It pops out of place on it's own, part of her birth defect, but it's not popping back in like it usually does. We have to meet with a surgeon but Pixie will need to have the socket shaved down so the joint seats correctly. Estimated cost is $3k. 😳 They did give her pain and inflammation meds. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper We extracted our last frames and got several more quarts of honey. Check out the contrast in color depth. The late spring/early summer honey on the left is light and a mix of wildflowers, clover and blooming trees. The jar on the right is late summer honey. It's dark with a mineral rich taste of sunflowers, sumac, buckwheat and blackberry/elderberry juice. Very complex but both are delicious, just different ends of the seasons. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Melissa harvested her first corn today, the mini blue popcorn. She was so excited I had to stop mid stream to go look at it. 🤦🏼♂️ It is pretty cool though! npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…j87y npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I got lucky at the antique mall this afternoon. Someone marked this as standard jadite and though it is jadite, this is pre WW2 depression jadite colored with uranium dioxide. This is a Jennette 2-cup measuring cup manufactured between 1932-39 and is from the sunflowers line. I picked it up for $25 which thrilled me because the last mint condition one I saw was $85, but they knew what they had. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Melissa and I are heading to KPot, a hotpot and Korean BBQ restaurant for our anniversary today. Hard to believe we've been married 18 years, together even more. Lot of laughs and good times, some disappointments, but we've stuck together through it all. I'm a very lucky guy in the end, she could have done far far better. She's always said it's about feeling safe, and I was the guy who could give her that security. Who knows in the end, but here we are. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper There's a bat in my wife's office building and no one with the building's management know what to do. I offered to get the bat and release it at dusk. Now I'm waiting to hear back on what they decide. I'd hate for someone to just kill it. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper We're starting to let these tromboncino squash harden into winter squash. They weigh a lot and should hold us over through winter. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…r2ce npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I picked up this Fenton custard glass ruffled basket after voting today. A lady in my town had it, from her mom's curio cabinet, I paid $30. She had a lot of interesting pieces but I'm only looking for a piece of custard and vaseline glass to round out my shelf. The basket is in mint condition and the hand painted flowers are perfect, she took good care of it. It makes a neat living room display. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper There will be no laundry done today. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper You can literally feel the air outside. It's thick and wet. It's going to get a few degrees hotter by mid afternoon. It's fucking miserable right now. We have the AC turned up to 78°F to conserve a little power while we're gone but all the fans are on moving air for pets so we're probably not saving much electricity. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…xyxk npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I found some uranium glass in one box but not the decanter and glasses. Maybe I didn't grab it and I remembered wrong. I've got a few more boxes to go through. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…55k5 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I went digging in the basement looking at antiques this morning. Someone at work was talking about uranium glass. I'm pretty sure I have a decanter set from my grandma's house made from uranium glass. So far I've found a couple cadmium glass examples and her old Fire King ovenware Anchor Hocking tea cup, but no uranium glass. I've only gone through a few boxes but it's time to inspect the bees I'm putting it away for now. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…fegq npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Anyone in my area (St Louis, MO) in need of a friendly cat? This guy followed our daughter to the front door last night. I posted his info and have searched missing cats but haven't had any luck. I'll let the post stay up for a few days but I know how these things go. He's been living under cars as that's where he went last night. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…xyxk npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Melissa is definitely inching closer to her 4ft Tromboncino squash. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper We just passed Funk's Grove. Anything to do with you @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper We've been driving through Illinois for two hours. If I had to describe it in one word, that word would be CORN! npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Hello everyone! Hope you're all doing well. It was another hot day here in Wisconsin but we had a blast. We spent a few hours at the indoor/outdoor pools then cleaned up and drove into the Wisconsin Dells town. Our resort is actually in Lake Dalton. We walked main street and ended up getting some permanent jewelry done. Ellie a gold heart anklet and me a Cuban link bracelet in silver. Then another 3 hours in the pool. Pretty fun times but tiring. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…xa0w npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Ellie and I are heading out for the Wisconsin Dells in the morning. I've got some of the activities charted, which helps my anxiety and OCD. We're seeing a dinner show the 1st night. I sprung for the VIP package, very good seat and a meet and greet with the cast. Hopefully it lives up to its 4.9 out of 5 star rating. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper We ended up harvesting 28 pounds of honey today. A respectable amount for an 8 frame medium super. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Liquid gold! The moisture content was 17-17.2% so perfectly shelf stable for years. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Hello everyone. 👋🏼 How's it going? We're leaving for the Wisconsin Dells in 10 days and I get more anxious the closer it gets. I'm probably one of the rare few who hate going on vacation. Taking of work is great but I do not like traveling. Flying is not happening, I don't like it, so I drive. Driving is fine but I hate leaving my house, and our animals. I grew up on a farm, you didn't really take off on vacation. It's just not my thing. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…j87y npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…xyxk npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper This squirrel impressed me so much I let them eat for a while. They spent at least 15 minutes like that. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper A hawk landed on one of the hives a little while ago. The bee yard is surrounded by nature, so we share the space. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…sxma npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I had a longer queen install video to share but it was too big for Mastodon. It's only 42 seconds but high quality video takes up too much space. Then I remembered I have a PeerTube channel so I posted it there. At 00:31 in the video you can see a bee cleaning the cage with it's proboscis or tongue. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I've been up since four and running around all day. Drove to the bee yard, then back home, to the beekeeping store, back home, back to the bee yard to be caught in a downpour, back home, then back to the bee yard to install the queen finally. My fun hobby is becoming much more though I was warned by several veteran beekeepers in advance. 🤦🏼♂️ npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I harvested black raspberries this evening, 3rd bowl today. That little patch of ours is really producing this year. Melissa has half a gallon frozen already and eats some fresh most days in her oatmeal. Hopefully the rest is as successful. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper A letter to the editor of the local paper I wrote last week was published in the latest edition. I'm attaching a clipping of the article and a link to its place in the paper. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I guess we're eating our dinner off saucers on the floor cat style tonight. Penguin claimed the table. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper A Three-Toed Box Turtle made it's way into our fenced in yard. Once it picked the direction it wanted to go, I helped them over the fence and they went into the woods. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Black raspberries anyone? We're getting a handful a day now. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Melissa grew what might be the most interesting bean I've ever seen, the Dragon Tongue. We're eating some tonight so I'll get to see how they taste too. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper We were watering the garden and I noticed a lot of flowers were blooming. So I went around and got some pictures. My wife grew everything from seed. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…w38w npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…hxgv npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Sick or not, I went down to check the bees on my usual inspection schedule. The ladies seem to be doing well. It's a bit overcast today and cool which is probably slowing them down a bit. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…99ut npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Well I found out I have Lyme Disease an hour ago. Just what I wanted for summer. Made it almost 50 years of outdoor living avoiding it to get struck down now. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper We're having our annual insurance meeting at work. The rumors running around have me leaning towards cancelling our coverage. The cost to benefit ratio is skewed too far in the insurance companies favor. Coverage is also being reduced again. We're going to meet with a direct primary care physician and look into catastrophic coverage. Missouri is apparently having 23-28% premium increases commonly. All I can say is FUCK THAT! npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…7lce npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper My Frankenstein swarm trap might have a swarm in it, but a tornado producing storm cell is about 10 minutes out. So I threw a ratchet strap over it to the shed roof and I'm crossing my fingers. I'm not sure there is but Melissa observed 50+ bees around it so I'm securing it. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I didn't catch the swarm, maybe next time. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…jqsa npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…jqsa npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper WE JUST HAD A SWARM SHOW UP IN OUR YARD, IM TRYING TO CATCH IT!!! FREE BEES 🐝🐝🐝 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Here's a video pulled from my security camera before it crapped out. This is from install day Friday evening. The bees are taking orientation flights. Looks awfully crazy but they know what they're doing. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…dd7p npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper The nucs are installed. I'd hoped to get good video of it but my camera woman had court today and the supplier said I definitely shouldn't wait to install these, they were boiling over. So heavy and full of bees! The Carniolans in the blue hive are about a week behind the hybrid Italians in the yellow in terms of numbers. They'll get there though. I'm hoping to piece together some footage for my security camera to make a PeerTube video. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Got stung in the damn eye in the beekeeping store parking lot! Got my nucs though. Carni and southern banded Italians. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I got an "11" from a lady on highway 55 driving in. 🖕🏼🖕🏼 Apparently a 10/10 just wasn't enough... Nothing like a St Louis commute to start your day. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper 87 hours and 35 minutes until I get my new nuc colonies! 🐝🐝🐝 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…nhzu npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Hello everyone! Hope you're having a good weekend. It's been pretty productive morning here. We planted for a couple of hours then cleaned up to go get more plants. 😄 I was given two Ozark witch hazel seedlings for free and we stopped at a person's house in West County for the sugar rush pepper, sart roloise tomato and she threw in a free black egg plant. I also bought a bar of homemade goats milk soap. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper My old fashioned French lilac got dropped off today. I'm excited to plant it tomorrow. I didn't realize it but this lilac is coming from shoots my friend's aunt got from grandma's lilac bush over 35 years ago. It was a sentimental moment when he explained that to me. My grandmother gave plants to everyone. It was originally planted in the 1940s so it's awesome to keep it going a bit longer myself. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I found out at work today a few people are actively avoiding me. I inquired as to how I got so lucky and how do I get more people to participate? 😄 This was from a friend who also cringes when I'm walking across the parking lot. If I'm out there, something is wrong. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper The frost protection paid off, we have baby peaches! 🍑 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Hello everyone! How's it going? It meh here, a sign of the times. I had to get the lawn mower out for the first time this year. I'm glad we invested in the Ego electric mower a couple of years ago. It makes cutting the grass so much easier. No oil, no gas and no engine noise. Friday I'll be getting the wood chipper out, it has all three but will chip a 4 inch branch, so I'll cut it some slack. 😉 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper The email just arrived. Our nucleas bee colonies will be available April 17th!!! 🐝🐝 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper The bare root plants we ordered from the Missouri Conservation Dept are starting to put on green. The pictures below are just 4 of the 18 we planted but all are coming out of dormancy. So that turned out to be a good deal. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…nhzu npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…nhzu npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…st9f npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…jgr8 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I was looking through my gallery today and this old picture of Mr Minx with Pixie laying on him always makes me smile. He was bigger than her, then it switched. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Have you ever been bored but also don't want to do anything at the same time? 🤷🏼♂️ I'm currently having one of those moments. So I'm on Mastodon to talk about it. 😄 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…thy7 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I started cutting down a tree 40-50ft tall and about 14 inches in diameter at 8am this morning. Took two drink breaks during. Now I'm getting out of the shower. Not too bad for a middle aged, out of shape, man with a come along. My saw is in desperate need of a file. All the wood and brush is stacked in piles of stuff I can wood chip, and logs I can bury in my ground to improve the soil. A productive day. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Hello Mastodon! How was everyone's day? Ours was good. We worked in the backyard half a day and went to a movie. At this point we're all set up for spring planting next month. I also made another video for my PeerTube channel. Nothing fancy, just a look at a part of our urban backyard garden setup. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Hello everyone! I was able to drag my butt back out there and assemble that raised bed and trellis. We had to run back out for more dirt, we didn't have enough. I have a few more things to add but overall I'm happy with it. Excuse the backyard mess, we jammed plants everywhere. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Mr Minx is doing his Jabba the Hutt impression again. I think he's nailed it. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I powered up an old system this evening. It's hard to beat the classics. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Melissa snapped some pictures of me and Oreo in the yard. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…8s39 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…8s39 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Melissa and I were out out checking the garden when two large bats started zipping around overhead. Getting any video was hard but I gave it my best shot. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I've got to fill my car up with gas, does anybody need a kidney? npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper These two found their slice of heaven. Summer sun in an open window in early March. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Hello everyone, happy DST day if you suffer under it! We've been busy today. After 3 hours of fence building and planting in the back this morning the girls took me out for birthday lunch at the new Pink Margarita Mexican restaurant by our house. It was pretty good and they offered some interesting fusion options with other cultures. Then I transplanted the succulents I got yesterday for $2 a piece into these pots I got for $0.46 a piece. Great deals. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper I posted a new PeerTube video today, my 2nd. Hopefully I can improve quality and content over time, I'm still learning it all. Spring should increase content options considerably. npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Mr Minx got weighed and x-rayed today, he's currently 19.2 pounds. Nothing is wrong, just a standard check up but because of his Manx syndrome we've opted for X-rays every few years just to check his spine and joints. All in great shape considering he's a rumpy riser with no tail, a more pronounced case. I asked if his weight was an issue but the vet said his bones are denser than usual and he's very muscular, which we laughed at. 😂 He's not fat, just big boned! npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…9n08 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper @nprofile…9n08 npub1z7dnqgd3n40lq5e02nlkv7ea57pdfkr7dxmc73sqv9khuqyut32qc2xcdz Brian Harper Is this how cats normally lay around? I think mine might be broken. 🤪
