haven't finished yet, but one fact that i didn't know is that he didn't grow up poor like he pretends to, he grew up in a solidly middle class home. his parents made $160k combined! in the 90s! in a shitty small city that's (still) super cheap
i'm about the same age as him (ugh) and also grew up in small town ohio, and i can tell you that literally all of my classmates considered anyone making over $100k to be actually rich. which isn't entirely wrong given how low cost of living was back then in that area (a very nice huge house with a big yard would have been less than $200k, and nice but smaller houses were less than $100k)

that quote does assume a lot about you! that's just another form of assigning a gender
i'm glad you had a space to explore and meet others with all sorts of different gender identities! it's been really helpful for me too. i'm very much in the process of figuring out exactly where i fit as well. i wouldn't be surprised if i end up as full transfem eventually but i also feel really good about being sort of generically nonbinary especially now that I'm on hrt :3

for the record i thought some of the jokes aimed at you were a bit too far, but i'm still pretty new here so i didn't feel like it was my place to intervene.
i think overall it's a good idea not to try to crack the eggs of others or to call someone an egg unless they identify that way. i think if someone had tried to do that to me, say, 5 years ago i probably would have clammed up and doubled down on being cis
if someone had done it 1 year ago it probably would have helped me along, but i also think that it's impossible to know exactly where someone else is at so i'm glad no one tried with me
