Getting paid for your work is fine. Don't let anyone tell you that you're evil just because you expect to get paid for your work. When you do it within "their" system, you're being manipulated. For instance the money in the modern system start out as a loan to the investment bank and then to big business and venture capitalists. When they receive it, they dilute the supply, but since they are the first ones to spend it, they take advantage of the undiluted value. By the time the new money come down to the workers as wage, they are worth way less. It's called cantillion effect. It's a value transfer up the capitalist economy.
Ergon is created through work, not through loans. The creation is distributed. So the cantillion effect is not there.
Ergon is also permissionless. You literally just run a program to access money. There's no third party or a bank that can ask you for Id. So if youre an undocumented migrant you can support yourself. Same with any marginalized people.
Imo it subverts the system of systemic discrimination that is a large part of what keeps the capitalists in power.

well, Ergon is an open source project creating a cypher cash - currency with issuance proportional to work. Avoiding the common pitfalls of cryptocurrencies. It creates a stable P2P cash for payments with no pyramids scheme. Ofc when there is no pyramids scheme, there are very few people that actually engage in such a project because that's what people do the "internet money" for. So the project is kind of in a survival mode. What keeps me there is the fact that this kind of technology is unstoppable. And very anticapitalist.

I don't get it but for some weird reason I want #KesslerSyndrome to happen. I don't get it. It's awful. But I want it to happen. What's wrong with me? It's going to close the space for at least a century. End the space age. It's going to handicap the entire global communication. The maps and navigation will suffer. Science will get a hit. It will be terrible. But I want it to happen.

exactly. I would argue that corporations ARR part of the state apparatus. They are created by a monopoly charter, directly or more often indirectly. They only exist because the state wants them. Oppression by corporations is literally one and the same thing as oppression by the government because a corporation is the market arm of state. On top of that, there is no corporations without absentee ownership laws that are 100% enforced by the state. A corporation is a legalese fiction that isolates the owners from legal consequences of the corporation actions and from financial responsibility.

So apparently the #KesslerSyndrome has already started. The amount of avoidance maneuvers grew 3x over the last 6 months, and the amount of junk in the orbit went up by 40% over the last 5 years.
What now? It's hard to internalize that it's already here. It will be a quick ride from now. It goes exponential. Hug your GPS, satelite tv, the weather reports, the space photos. It's the end of the space age. We will be telling our grand children how cool it was.
And maybe, if they are lucky, the moon will herd the debris into an orbital ring. It will be magnificent.

I'm not gonna deny that #verticalfarming is being used for green washing and the startups related to that are the worst. Let's not flush the baby with the bath water though. Hydroponics, aquaponics and so on are still a great idea, it's only that it's always that without the social change, #solarpunk is green washing.
As a practicioner of #aquaponics, I see it like this. Vertical farming, if done right is an extremely efficient use of water, and nearly 100% use of the added fertilizer, or as it is in the case of aquaponics, added fish feed nitrogen. If a building was like a cohousing project, with every family on the southern side of the building having a few rows of the nutrient film pipes for their own fitting, it might actually be great. not as a top down approach, but withing a communal effort. At the ground level or below ground, there might be a hidden fish tank and the filters, the feed there doesn't need to be transported up with any elevators but simply pumped up to the roof and then gravitationally distributed to the flats.
The best outcome would be not only locally grown vegetables, but also out-of-market ways of sustaining people. Large system is always more stable than a small ones. Vertical farming is only possible now because we have reliable water and air pumps.
As I said, it's a really good idea, just that it's often presented without any social change, as green washing.

Może przy wykorzystaniu istniejącej infrastruktury SSL? Gdyby pełne zapytanie było częścią podpisywanej wiadomości? Strona P by nie zaakceptowała weryfikacji z podpisem strony Z. A infrastruktura SSL zajmuje się weryfikowaniem prawdziwości certyfikatów stron więc to jest ogarnięte.

Właśnie jest. Oryginalne pytanie brzmiało - czy można zrobić system weryfikacji wieku który nie będzie totalną katastrofą dla prywatności. Przedstawianie się kotce nie dewotce z imienia i nazwiska może nie brzmi fatalnie ale np. Kotkowi Gejuchowi brzmi bardziej wrażliwie, a strony typu tuba posiadające dane dziesiątek tysięcy userów to już tragedia.

Moja propozycja była taka, żeby tworzyć deterministyczny commitment dla konkretnych credentiali i konkretnych stron: mój dowód generuje deterministyczny podpis frazy "www.kotkaniedewotka.pl", który za każdym razem jest taki sam bo nie ma żadnej nonce która by dodawała losowości. Weryfikuje MAC, jak ktoś był w stanie wygenerować MAC, to znaczy, że ma oficjalny dowód osobisty cyfrowy z taką możliwością :)
Zero knowledge proof (ZKP) udowadnia posiadanie informacji bez ujawnianie jej. Np.posiadanie dowodu bez pokazywania go.

Tak, to jest dowolny pseudonim. KotkaNieDewotka ma mój adres IP chyba że używam tora albo vpn. Teraz czytam te prace starając się dowiedzieć jak wygląda odwoływanie tych KVAC. Znaczy jak mi odwołają to na jedno wyjdzie, to co mówiłem, że mogą prześladować konkretnych ludzi. I całe to łapanie się prawą ręką za lewe ucho nie wiele daje.

Each of the groups would have to be taken over separately by independent assholes. We're talking thousands of separate informal groups. It's a completely different structure than a hierarchal top-down structure of the govt. Way more resilient and self governed.

Ok, I can officially say that I don't get #jsonLD. #ActivityPub uses it, #fediverse is built on it. But it doesnt actually give any boost in interoperability. The applications themself must be written with interoperability in mind. It's just fancy aliasing mechanism, am I wrong about it? Maybe that's what it's supposed to be? Was I wrong expecting it to be anything more? It doesn't do any heavy lifting besides the aliasing. It only serves as a reminder to look up the docs of a protocol. You could just as well just get the protocol spec out and it would be equivalent. What's the point?

I just checked that there is plenty of definitions of nationalism, the one I used is "all things come secondary to the interest of a nation". Statism is much more clear. It's defined as the belief in legitimacy of state power. In that sense, Jews in diaspora can be well nationalist without being Zionist. Zionism is the project of making a state for the Jewish nation. The concept of a nation states is a very new invention. Roughly 3 to 4 hundred years old. Judaism is an order of magnitude older than that. Zionism is a manifestation of statism, the OPs point is to not be breading antisemitism with anti-zionism. For instance, a consistent stance of an anti-zionism would be that I'd rather have a Jewish neighbor than have him migrate to pursue this project. No anti-Semitism here.

Back in 2015-16 AI was a technical term, a controversial one. I remember my friends talking about how controversial it was in the academia, people outside of the field thinking the specialists in the field are doing quackery while they were using this term. My roommate was a CTO at a company building a recommender system and he was referring to his work as AI. The modern AI is technically generative AI.
