Never been to a gender reveal, but I would say not mandatory. You can always get something after the baby arrives (at least that's what I did with my friend's recent baby shower and I'm pretty sure it was fine 😅)

That was part of it, sure. Maternity care was dreadful from start to finish and they go out of their way to let you know that you don't matter
Didn't help that I was pregnant during Covid and had to spend the whole time justifying why I didn't want to be injected with an experimental substance while carrying my unborn child

It took us about 2 years to even hang a picture because we moved in when I was 35 weeks pregnant and life got a bit busy after that 😂

Since we moved into our house (almost 5 yrs ago 😅), the balcony was always the least used space.
Recently I discovered it's actually a great place to sit when it's a bit windy or cold in the garden, or to watch the sunsets in the evening, so I put a little effort in to make it a cosy sitting corner.
Now it's just wonderful 🍵🎐🌅
