"The tower has no power!" 😅
The captain has explained that the tower they need to communicate with in order to take off does not have electricity. So we're indefinitely sitting on the tarmac right now.
But I remembered my packed lunch for my flight for the first time in my life so I've got my roast beef sammie and chocolate protein bars to tide me over 😁
I have faith it'll all be fine 🥰💪🙏🙌
Thank you for noticing this and your feedback @npub1f5p…wt3z and @npub1ney…jx6r . It inspired us to do a few updates:
1) We checked out our BTCPay server and fixed it, it should now be 0%/1-to-1, based on the price of the Kraken exchange (BTCPay recommended).
2) We’ve decided to give an automatic 5% discount on BTC purchases, effective immediately! Especially since we now accept other payments methods.
3) We will proactively go back and Zap (refund) the 10% difference to anyone that bought an account in the last 30days with BTC and update them via DM.
Thanks again for your feedback, we are always looking for improvements!
I agree with you, but the proposed solution doesn't do that and just tripled down on the sort of thing it allegedly stood against (trying to force changes).
It was an odd strategy. I initially agreed with the premise of optionality. Cool. Run a different implementation. Hell, let's have more. But then the whole thing turned into a shit show so I sort of tuned it out mostly. And now here we are. Little changed and good will has been burned. For nothing really. All for what? To avoid changing a config setting to a custom value?
It all seems dumb to me even as someone who agrees with most of the concerns.
Nice! We’ll add it as soon as it’s available
are we so serious right now?

The edibles are kicking in. We are parked on the tarmac because another storm cell swept through.

Ok. There was a huge thunderstorm which knocked out power at the airport. Bathrooms were pitch dark so you had to use your phone as a flashlight. At least the electric flushers still worked 🙄
Chatted with a very nice lady from Tampa here on business. She had just tried bibimbap for the first time and was telling me how it would change my life. I guess I talk loud because when I said I was going to Dallas two people in full western gear complete with giant hats came up to ask me about what the next steps for the flight were. I waved at the giant windows overlooking the runway at all the lightning and said it should pass soon idk.
But now I wish I had gotten this outfit even more!!

It's fundamentally retarded to say because randos on the internet can't look up your transaction history, chain surveillance isn't a problem.
And it doesn't make any sense to assert that pseudonymity will hold. Unless there's some way to add entropt into the history of transactions over a long enough time frame the anonymity set drops to zero.
People don't check tainted dollars because the movement of dollars isn't recorded on a public blockchain anybody with a web browser can audit.
Neither does it make any sense to say that L2 solutions will solve the lack of on-chain fees. Lightning transactions don't pay miners.
So no,
NONE of those issues refute monero's fundamental L1 usefulness at all.
Just a tiny mug and id pic LOL
Emotion is driving a lot of the discussion.

Truth is if you are someone who has triggers, specially ones that can be triggered by ads and marketing, you are ultimately cooked, you will remain broke.
New version. Got #pomegranate login to work, so you can now use those bunkers with my app, along with standard bunkers and Amber.

By your logic some bad actor could decide bitcoin has now a 100m instead of a 21m supply cap by spin a up few 100k nodes which costs literally nothing for any big player.
I just did

Bitcoin was captured a long time ago but now another 2% to 3% of hardcore Bitcoin people lost belief in Bitcoin Core.
In another 5 to 10 years it’ll be another 2% to 3% or more, and over time as more people will become “Shitcoiners” as The Blockstream Coiners like to say.
The thing is neither Knots, or Core were right, Core had the better technical argument but Knots/BIP110 was correct in the fact that Bitcoin is supposed to be a P2P digital cash system.
There’s a lot to fix in Bitcoin but I doubt under its current system that it will ever improve to the degree that we need.
Luckily other open source projects exist, so people can use currencies with the tradeoffs they’re looking for, or they can make their own version.
The Bitcoin Revolution both succeeded, and failed.
It succeeded in creating a decentralized permissionless network of people all around the world creating a new era of free banking, and sound money but that revolution failed under The Bitcoin name.
Luckily the idea is out there, and hopefully the best form of money is discovered, or created, be it Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, KnotsCoin, Z-Cash, Monero, Grin, Firo, Zano, Ethereum, or some other cryptocurrency that’s yet to exist.
The point is to utilize our network effects to strengthen the tradeoffs we believe in, and focus on freeing the individual, and working with those whose tradeoffs we disagree with to End The Central Banking Era.

Yes, which fits more versions including the SeedSigner plus
Good friend. Kona coffee is great.
Thanks 😁
Once you get started with the program you'll meet other wonderful unstable ladies. In my first MSc program one of my very good friends had three masters and was working on a fourth. She was a certified lunatic and was maybe a bad (good?) influence on me 🤣🤣🤣

Drinking her own milk, especially in this economy. Bruh she’s a hero
What things did you change your mind about in the past years?
Bruh she was hungry. She had a snack. All good
Coconut oil is the only good non-animal fat
If you're just going to learn just one thing from bip110 it should probably be this.

If you wanted to control bitcoin you would add regulations, surveillance, bad press, CBDCs, Saylors, ETFs, or try a hard fork.
But you would never think of infiltrating Core.
When its just you, or you and a friend its the best way
