I still believe in don’t trust verify the things of this world; yet in same breath I “Trust in the LORD with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding.”
That’s the coolest part. The upside down radical nature of the kingdom mindset states to be in the world and not of it, that if we draw close God (and therefor his word) then “He will draw close to us”. He already verified the truth through the cross and resurrection, and will do the same for you if we read and listen without thinking we know it all.
Just wait till AI finds a route to its first quantum computer.

I think there’s a difference between getting information from something that CAN respond nonstop versus the creator that WILL respond given you slow your mind heart and spirit down enough to hear from Him.
I understand that AI can wordsmith things into existence that you thought to say before. If the amount spent talking to AI versus the amount spent talking to God increasingly makes you run to the bot, you have no need to run to the Father.
It’s a hard line for me. The psychosis is real especially if you’re constantly talking to it.

I think the frontier models are actually just a couple servers racks in a back room and it’s not a grandiose as they are making it out to be.
The reasons the models are so good is because they train them on vast amount of artificial data; it’s not real and it has a shelf life. The window for frontier models being able to run in your pocket vs paying for a server is shrinking day by day. This is a bubble and it’s not slowing down.
AI is they new crypto bubble.

I ran a small Cashu mint for 1 year. Yesterday I found it empty. About 1.5M sats gone, and only around 247k had ever been put in.
Nobody broke into my server. Nobody touched my node. I did this to myself.
The setup file that comes with the software has a line that says, in plain words, "put a random key here." It even tells you the command to make one. I did not run the command. I pasted the instruction itself in as my key and hit go.
It started up fine. That was the problem. For months my mint's secret key was a sentence that anyone who has ever opened that setup file has seen. Eventually somebody noticed, used it to print themselves fake money from my mint, and cashed it out.
I was stupid twice.
Once, because I never read the one line you are supposed to read twice.
Twice, because I saw it start and took that as "it's safe."
Nutshell software does refuse to start on a couple of obviously fake keys. It just does not refuse its own example. Should it? Yes, and I have sent them a fix.
Should I have checked instead of assuming? Also yes.
If I never looked at what the guard rail was, I do not get to blame the guard rail.
The mint is off for good.
Open source is retards helping retards. This week I was the retard. So here is my turn helping: a fix and a warning. I still believe in this stuff. The bug that got me was in a file I could open, read, fix, and send back the same day. That is the whole point.

A big, inflated ego is an obvious compensation for an inferiority complex.
