Yeah, I'm going to be doing that. I plan to use genre, but also have 'mood' tags too. Genre is already there in the database, but not surfaced in the app yet.

That's how I do it. My git stuff is only a mirror. All of my projects have source packages built next to the binary packages. I also use the git-archive feature to build a repo archive so people who want to use git can work on the same repo as me. Here is my noscrypt library for example, source, is available, binaries, and the archive. You can hit the "view archive" button that allows you to download the pgp signed archive.

Yeah basically it's not in the city but it's in the philly archdiocese. Technically it's in the county just south of it, but its only 20-25 minute train ride from the campus station into Center City.

You can host your own git httpv2 server and add it to nip34 events for users to clone the code.
You also don't need to publish git. You can just share source packages (or git archives) for users or contributors to be able to see and edit the code. If you need community patches, they can just send them do you as a git patch or git bundle. Sure you don't have a nice fancy UI, but for _my_ workflow I only accept patches.

Well. The code has to be stored on a git server somewhere. As far as im aware nip34 just allows pointers to those servers.
We don't have a git replacement, we have a git-hub discovery and community replacement.
I have 2 more green ones, but my plant broke 😭. I staked it and it doesn't look like it's suffering 🤞

Not as good as yours. My dog has separation anxiety. We've had him up to 1Hr alone time, twice. He's regressed both times, we are now back to square one. This has been over a 3 month time frame🤦🏻♂️.
