The recent achievements in animation by Opus 5.5 have motion designers in disbelief. I think the entire motion design industry is shook and wondering what just happened.
The few who still don’t get it say “well this is crappy” or “it can’t do this” just need to add “for now” at the end of their statements.
And I know how the job numbers are great and all but I’m not buying that bs for a second. The Reddit gamedev sub is an absolute bloodbath of misery - full of posts about how their game studios are laying off most people. I believe these people over “official” job numbers that are probably botched in god knows which ways.
Motion designers are next.
The new zone redesign in Emberfall took me like 3 days and a week worth of tokens (last week). This week I am finishing it up - 7% into my weekly model usage.
The things I do for this game...
Meanwhile, I need to level up my other apps and figure out their distribution.
Apple ads refuses to run my ads.
Google refuses to index my websites.
Fucking hell.
We have bigger problems to solve. Like, how to get people here and stick around.

If you do any sort of game text to speech, I recommend trying inworld/tts-2!
It's much cheaper than eleven labs. Only drawback is it doesn't do sound effects or music - pure text to speech.

My guess is they’ll get their IPO regardless. It’s all going to institutionalized money who eat up everything automatically. The whole system is corrupt.
