La mission MMX (Martian Moons eXploration), dirigée par la JAXA avec la participation du CNES, de la DLR, de la NASA et de l'ESA, a pour objectif d'étudier les deux lunes de Mars, Phobos et Deimos.
La sonde se placera en orbite autour de Mars, explorera ses deux satellites, déposera le rover franco-allemand IDEFIX sur Phobos, puis prélèvera au moins 10 g d'échantillons de sa surface avant de les rapporter sur Terre en 2031.
L'un des principaux objectifs scientifiques est de déterminer l'origine de Phobos et Deimos : sont-elles des astéroïdes capturés par Mars ou les vestiges d'un gigantesque impact sur la planète rouge ?
Grâce à sa participation, le CNES fournira notamment le spectromètre infrarouge MIRS, le rover IDEFIX et recevra une partie des échantillons pour les analyses scientifiques.

For sure but the point should really be accountability in any system of human interaction. USSR had it's fair share. There was a company that worked out how to separate spilled crude from topsoil. When they got the contracts to clean up the surface mess left post USSR collapse, they posted reserves of over 60m bbl! At the same time, shell spills in Nigeria are covered up. It's a similar story across the board but the argument being brought down to political is merely distracting from the lack of accountability on all sides and the need for a physical cost on damage caused by poor practices and negligence.

Вопрос в том, сможет ли рынок преодолеть текущую стагнацию без внешних катализаторов?
