There are a lot of people I interact with somewhat regularly on here, and I forget that some of them don't even follow me, yet there are others that I don't follow.

a system whose primary purpose is maintaining demand for itself.
Stablecoins need dollar reserves.
Dollar reserves buy Treasuries.
Treasuries finance the system.
The system expands dollar liquidity.
That liquidity creates more demand for dollar-denominated assets.
The loop feeds itself:
Debt → collateral → stablecoins → dollar demand → more debt.
But notice what is quietly being removed from the equation:
the dollar’s own settlement rails.
Bitcoin can provide scarce settlement.
Public blockchains can provide neutral verification and transfer.
Stablecoins can provide the temporary translation layer.
And the dollar can remain behind as the unit in which taxes, debts and contracts are measured.
That is the distinction that matters:
A currency can dominate accounting without dominating settlement.
Stablecoins may therefore contain the seeds of their own obsolescence.
They teach the world to hold dollars outside banks.
They teach the world to transfer value on public networks.
They teach wallets to route between competing forms of money automatically.
Eventually the wrapper becomes irrelevant.
Then the issuer becomes irrelevant.
Then only the denomination remains.
At that point, the dollar is no longer the road.
It is the mile marker.
And that may be the deepest irony of dollar tokenization:
America puts the dollar on public rails to preserve monetary dominance — and accidentally builds the infrastructure that makes the dollar itself optional.
The dollar does not necessarily die first.
Its necessity does.
