I think neurodivergent people definitely need intervention from time to time. We have a joke phrase we use to check in. We both know that the smartest most capable person is a worse than useless idiot once they reach a certain level of disregulated.
The other day I beat my head against a problem for 45 minutes before my wife talked me into quitting for the day. Woke up the next morning and realized that the solution was to measure the thing. I was tired and frustrated to the point that I couldn't figure out the way you make sure 2 things are the same size is to measure. I have a masters degree and engineer in my job title.
The key is to help them recover their self regulation so they can do it themselves. Very different than just taking over and making the decision or doing the thing. Also way harder but that may just be a lifetime of alexithymia talking.
The obvious answers are usually most likely.
Is DLC dead? Most projects on the awesome dlc list seem to be abandoned or not rigorous.

I'm perfectly happy as a Linux user where this works reliably. Sadly I have no control over my work laptop. It frequently just ignores the sleep command or wakes up in my bag so I go to pull it out and find it screaming hot with a 1% battery.
My dad has high potassium levels. So I told him to try increasing his sodium levels. He's a salt is bad boomer. Fast forward a couple months and he had another test done and his potassium is still too high for a medication he's on. So what does the doc do? Prescribe him a $800/mo sodium product. While it's different than just table salt, it still blows my mind that boomers are so high horsed and stubborn. Big pharma loves them, because the "there's a pill for that" shit up.
