I'm assuming from your username you're American. It's possible healthcare is different in other countries vs what you experience. A lot of this sounds like complaints about the American for profit health & pharma industry.
From a quick search it looks like comparable treatments for cancer in America are in the range of 2x to 10x in actual cost vs here in Canada, and that's before considering our single payer provincial health care systems cover most costs, funded by tax dollars. Might be a good idea to point this energy towards the inefficiencies in your own system.
Canada's system is by no means perfect or the best in the world, but somehow spends less than half as much per capita on health care ($5500/year vs $12000/year), and Americans are still required to have additional insurance to receive care in most cases. Even with this spending difference health outcomes are largely similar in most reporting I can find.

I mean, there's obviously a lot of conspiracy around this community/movement, especially about the highest degrees. And the lowest degrees most likely have no idea what exactly the highest are about, whether they are actually ethically mature guys disconnected from politics or they are abusive psychopaths or whatever else they might be. I mean, their social interactions outside their lodges in particular—who knows what they do together.
I personally still have no well-established opinion; I've never thought very much about them, tbh. Yet I'm open-minded, not xenophobic. At least as soon as they are at the lowest degrees (of the authentic lodges), I interpret them as a part of an innocent self-development community, and unless they demonstrate some enormously suspicious/manipulative/abusive behavior in some way, this should be fine to deal with them. Not to mention a lot of us are pseudo-anonymous here, and who knows who we are IRL.

The VA is fucked. Hospitals are fucked too. Our hospital back home is sending all my wife's medical bills to ChampVA with her ex husband's name on them. ChampVA knows my wife by her married name because a marriage certificate is the document that proved her eligibility, so they're denying all the bills for having the wrong name on them. I keep yelling at the hospital to change the name. There's almost a million dollars worth of medical bills after her employer insurance expired that need to be paid by ChampVA and the hospital is sending me billing statements because ChampVA isn't paying them. It's such a cluster fuck.
