**The Cotton Candy Clouds of Rho Ophiuchi**

Although they look like cotton candy, you cannot eat these clouds! Taken in Cádiz, Spain , today's image features the Rho Ophiuchi complex , a rich tapestry of young and old astronomical phenomena. This colorful cloud complex is a nearby star-forming region containing hundreds of young stellar objects , including protostars and T Tauri stars . Light from the triple star system at its center reflects off of small dust grains to create the blue reflection nebula . Ultraviolet light from hot stars ionizes the surrounding hydrogen gas, creating the red emission nebula . Antares , a red supergiant big enough to engulf the Solar System’s asteroid belt , lights up the yellow region. Dark interstellar dust blocks some of the complex’s color. Recent JWST observations exhibit shadows cast by hidden circumstellar disks , the beginning stages of planet formation. Messier 4 , a globular cluster almost as old as the universe, sits in the bottom right and witnesses yet another chaotic burst of youth in the Milky Way.

Yeah, on "round trip tests" it worked fine on encode/decode since it would use MPS on both, but stumbled across the issue when doing some other test and the LLM used CPU to decode and caught it in the default/test case.
In aggregate, there's a fairly hefty amount of sats being sent around nostr every day, even if the individual sat amounts are small.
Certain parties are disappointed that the value that people voluntarily give to shitposts is marginal because they expected a free and open, decentralized and sovereign system to behave like a permissioned, closed, centrally controlled system.
Platforms have a captive audience they can farm for attention, and that's why large sums of money flow through them. There is no such attention farming capability on nostr. But what I think happened was that people saw how people are manipulated to behave on platforms and assumed that was normal, organic behavior, and that people would behave the same on nostr. I think we proved that isn't the case pretty definitely at this point.
I don't think nostr is by any measure a failure. I think people just had the wrong ideas and expectations about it. Let them wash out, and the ecosystem will adjust.

It's not clairvoyance. It's intelligence and intuition. I let the signal get processed, combine with events I know are happening, and stresses and unnatural circumstances I know exist, I take or find hints or out-of-the-ordinary markers, and try to combine. I may be able to interpret certain signals well, but it's not magic. It is sensitivity and certain ability simulate, feel and empathize.
