TIL DoorDash has a CLI and I just got on the waitlist for it.
haha, please test it first. I can't really do good real world tests atm. Would be dissapointing if everything brakes or is already broken and only find that out when you are on the flight already.
Also if you have a game request, il build it.
Your example is a called neubrutalism, which is a popular look for simple UX design. It shares some similarities with the Ben Day dots style, but it’s not a direct offshoot of it.

That’s a bit different, stylistically. Mine is based on early 20th century comic book art.

@npub1car…f0dd will now show you if the reply to your note is a kind1 or kind1111. Simple touches that any client can implement.
https://onlydans.blossom.band/95f081a4f3a0ccca02176722e42b787d7c3bf8dfd345a759824c249164937e62.png
Well your replies in this thread are all kind1, which is the most compatible across clients. I’m not exactly sure how Amethyst determines which format to use. I just made sure Sidecar can read either one.
If you’re not seeing them on Amethyst it just means you’re boring. It was one of the first clients to switch. 🤣
If your feed is looking more sparse than usual these days, it could have something to do with the lack of broad support for kind1111 comments as a replacement for kind1 replies.
Unless you’re using a client that you’re sure can read them, you may never know they’re going missing. It will just appear like the thread has no replies.
If you’re running @npub1car…f0dd, you can see and reply to them in your Notifications tab, even if your browser client of choice doesn’t display them.
It’s up to individual client developers to implement this change, so if you find it important to see every reply, let them know you want support for mixed-kind interoperability.
Where else are you seeing it?
A bitcoin DCA ladder shifts purchases toward deeper drawdowns. Its real test is not whether investing more buys more bitcoin, but whether timing buys more with the same total contribution.
Across 80 overlapping four-year periods, an equal-budget test found that the ladder accumulated more bitcoin in 64, with a median advantage of 14.7%. But the ladder amounts were scaled in hindsight after each period so both strategies totaled $50,000. Those amounts could not have been known in advance, so this compares timing; it is not an executable schedule or an 80% forecast.
The 16 losses show the tradeoff. All began between February 2016 and May 2017, when holding back money near new highs meant missing prices bitcoin never revisited. In the worst period, the ladder finished with 24.3% less bitcoin despite the same total contribution.
A ladder is not for someone who wants every dollar exposed immediately or who will abandon the rule if bitcoin keeps rising. It fits someone willing to accept that opportunity cost to commit more of a fixed contribution during drawdowns.
A practical ladder sets a baseline, drawdown thresholds, and a sustainable maximum purchase within your contribution capacity. It is a rule made before volatility arrives, not a claim that you can predict the bottom.

You gotta wait a bit more, my app has too many groups and can't do new ones...
Next release will make it more performant then I'll add you.

It’s called Ben Day dots, the halftone color print style that revolutionized color printing in the late 1800s, and was widely used in early 20th century comic books. It inspired Roy Lichtenstein’s iconic pop art style.

Kinda bummed out again. Maybe I let my libido hype me up a little too much and leave me alone to handle the crash. Or not. Same shit, different day.
This new theme is shaping up to be a real banger. 💥

You're still in the old app.
Please delete it and get the new app on zapstore.
I made a stupid thing that already exists in a 1000 different undoubtably better ways.
A remote system monitor over Nostr to check the system resources and stuff anywhere via a webapp/nsite.
It runs a little deamon on the system, which supplies (encrypted)updates every so often when called for, and stops automatically when nothing is listening anymore. Once set up, you just log in with a remote signer into the app and you are good to go.

I've been locked out of my CashApp account for years after transfers between my account and my wife's apparently triggered a fraud flag. There was no actual fraud, yet neither of us has been able to use the platform.
The loss wasn't devastating. The lesson matters for any FIRE plan: a portfolio can cover your expenses on paper while institutions control when and how you move the assets. Banks, brokerages, plan administrators, and fintech apps can delay transfers, freeze accounts, or block transactions because of policy, faulty automation, or a false positive.
Self-custodied bitcoin addresses that access risk. When you hold your own keys, that capital doesn't depend on a bank, broker, exchange, ETF provider, or app granting permission. Bitcoin held through an exchange or ETF still leaves an institution between you and the asset.
I think a FIRE plan deserves some capital you can actually control. A non-zero self-custodied bitcoin allocation can provide that sovereignty layer. The right amount depends on your conviction, risk tolerance, life stage, and practical needs. Savings rates and withdrawal rates matter, and access belongs in the resilience calculation too.
See how to evaluate the back door in your own FIRE plan: https://firebtc.io/p/the-back-door-man-in-your-fire-plan

A useful app can begin with a problem you understand, even before you have years of programming experience or a public developer identity. An open-source agent workflow lets a home laptop handle Android builds while you direct and test from your phone, then share the result under a name you chose.
#naddr1qq…v57k
I gotta put a pause on adding people to the group, my phone can't handle that many groups and isnt successfully inviting others.
We have to unlock the next level of scaling.
Stay tuned, we're hunting for performance bugs right now.
#nevent1q…up4w
@nprofile…radp android is getting super slow when you have more than 300 groups.
It still works, just some actions take forever.
We'll ship improvements soon, but for now keep your clients under that scale.
Ngit is a great angle into Nostr
This release should fix your relay issue so let's see if it comes up again. Yell at me if it's still broken, and I'll yell at the clankers too fixed.
Can you paste that qr content as text please

I can't find a keypackage for that account, are you signed in properly?
Check developer settings for the keypackage screen and make sure there's one published.
Also check your relay list in the settings and make sure you have good relays there.
@nprofile…radp is a cool club, you gotta be invited to the best places.
70 members in the largest @nprofile…radp community group.
We gotta pump those rookie numbers.
Doesnt seem you've logged in with that key yet.

Can't recall if i posted this already, but I had this idea/insight from making Table Mesh.
The point of table mesh is that it works without internet. Its a somewhat stupid feature, because internet access is not really an issue anywhere anymore, be it via 4g/5g or wifi. The same goes for a lot of other mesh based sollutions. Bitchat targets this (critical) niche of an 'emergency' and/or adversarial context.
BUT! What if.....
Smartphones and children is this big issue and nobody has a really good awnser. I am not proposing some be-all-end-all, but it might offer a decent middle-way that inherrently takes care of a bunch of problems.
What if, we give our kids smartphones WITHOUT internet access? A smartphone without internet is absolutely useless, its a boring piece of shit. But now, mesh based sollutions suddenly become super usefull. The proximity requirement in this context becomes a feature, not a drawback.
Whatever it is they can do with their smartphones, they can only do when they are already near eachother. Mesh based applications now have a 'market'/environment to thrife in, and can actually be used on a day to day basis, enccouraging more and different type of sollutions/apps.
We no longer develop mesh stuff in case of emergency, we develop them because we conciously cut out internet for good reason in the specific context of children.
I assume people can sort of imagine what problems internet as such introduces, but to give two examples:
Anyone can potentially reach your child from all over the globe at all times, whereas when proximity is required to even establish contact, time and space are now barriers.
Intenternet can supply a practically infinite amount of 'content', so the 'feed' never ends, it never runs out of stuff to give you.
If you would be so kind, test out table mesh, or consider donating to our foundation so i can buy 6 smartphones and a tablet in order to create a testing environment to explore this 'internetless smartphone but proximity/meshbased' paradigm more thoroughly.

I think the highly subsidized era is in its final phases. Looking at opus 5.5 for example. It seems way more efficient, so whatever had product market subsidized fit half a year ago, probably is now closer to actual product market fit under the real price/cost....if my words make any sense here.
I don't think these companies have any real business model at the end of the day, other than something that is too close to being commodified to have the margins required to ever ROI. But whatever, thank you investors for footing the bill i guess.
Yeah, that's why we have the native only notifications that keep the WebSockets to relays open in the background. But that consumes a bit more battery. And we'll keep optimizing this as we go.
Gigi is not into the new era of gaming which is the ultimate computergame of making computergames i guess
I did not really look into this stuff, but on a scale from no to yes, how many hazelnuts is this worth in terms of being usefull for local content filtering inside Nostr clients or perhaps relays?
Its a dynamic where is waldo on hell difficulty
