Here’s were I disagree with this. Not every disability is a 100% loss of a sense or input. Should someone with low vision be forced to only use a text-to-speech app when simply having a few words to describe an image would make all the difference?
Besides, the descriptions need to be added at the time the image is uploaded so they’re included in the post metadata, and for that you need the alt text input field to be available in the client in the first place.

I had some positive feedback on the workshop, but I don't actually know how good the workshop-client worked. Won't do any work on it now, but its open source so anyone can pick it up if they wanted to.
Maybe il take its Nostr app/client index and build a seperate thing out of that, because it has this thourough index of 226 apps with all their capabilities listed.

No need for Nostr clients to implement accesability features for people with disabilities.
These people should have their own clients, it makes way more sense to develop something for someone who has to controll his app with his tongue or whatever, from scratch.
People who have difficulty seeing need large text, people who are blind don't need a GUI at all (presumably, i have no idea, hope you get the point im making, not drafting actual requirements here).
Nostr is a step forward, it is a better system than what we have, and this is just an expression of that. Im not disabled, i don't know anyone disabled, those people and communities that undoubtedly exist should pick this up. There are more than enough people willing to help them in that process i am sure.

Making technology work for blind people is “woke”? What a stupid fucking attitude. Anyone could end up permanently disabled tomorrow. This is why the rest of the world thinks bitcoiners have their heads up their asses. And they’re not wrong.
How many Nostr clients have implemented accessibility features for people with disabilities — such as image alt text for the visually impaired — in the three years since this post? If not, why not? I thought we wanted to #grownostr and onboard the world.
@npub1xxd…kt7a just added it today using NIP 92 media attachments metadata (imeta) tags. It’s live on the web, and rolling out to Android and the upcoming iOS TestFlight over the next few days.
This image has alt text. If you can’t see it in your client, consider submitting a feature request to support it. There’s no excuse for Nostr to be so far behind every other major platform and protocol in this area. We already have the tools to build it.

Buying bitcoin with commercial property cash flow can strengthen a balance sheet only if the building's obligations have first claim on the money.
Rent has jobs before it becomes investment capital: operating expenses, debt service, taxes, planned capital work, lender-controlled reserves, and distributions required by the ownership agreement. If money assigned to those obligations is counted as a bitcoin reserve, a vacancy or repair can turn normal volatility into a forced sale.
The useful move is to separate time horizons. Keep practical near-term needs in operating cash. Hold intermediate obligations in assets chosen for liquidity and principal stability. Only capital beyond those demands belongs in a long-horizon bitcoin allocation. An 18-month dividing line can be a planning heuristic, but it isn't a promise that bitcoin will recover on schedule.
Before the first purchase, approve a treasury policy that defines the order of payments, minimum reserves, bitcoin allocation limits, custody, signing authority, and who can change the plan. That policy turns conviction into a repeatable decision while conditions are calm. Bitcoin can add strategic options, but only after the property can keep operating without selling it at the wrong time.
