Buying shares in a bitcoin treasury company is not the same as owning bitcoin. You also own the financing choices wrapped around it.
A company can issue common stock, debt, or preferred shares to acquire more bitcoin. That structure may increase upside when its shares trade at a premium and new capital is available on favorable terms. It also creates claims that bitcoin itself doesn't have, including interest, preferred dividends, and repayment priorities.
Those obligations remain when bitcoin falls or the market stops paying a premium for the company's shares. The company then has a limited set of choices: generate cash elsewhere, sell bitcoin, issue more common stock and dilute existing owners, raise new financing, or reduce payments where its contracts allow. Someone in the structure absorbs the cost.
Before buying the wrapper, identify its recurring obligations and which investors get paid before common shareholders. Then compare that added risk with direct bitcoin ownership.
The company may still outperform, but that outcome depends on management, financing terms, and market appetite in addition to bitcoin's price. Cold storage removes those corporate variables and gives you the asset without another party deciding where losses land.
Maybe stop taking yourself so seriously. You’ll feel better about everything.
This is the most Nostr post ever.
Welcome! 💜⚡️🖖
Looking forward to seeing your creative work.
Dat staat dus wel volledig los van @npub1nyv…9nc9 😅 (dat is dus mijn side-project)
Oldskool irc....ppoohh!
You are always free to use a less good app if this one doesn’t cater to your every desire.
Ja eens, ik vind het alleen wel lastig hoe je dat doet. Dit soort marketing is niet mijn sterkste punt, maar je idee is wel goed! Join evt onze Signal groep, daar wordt gebrainstormd ;-)
Missed a yooge opportunity to rename it “America Intelligence.”

Yeah working on that right now.
The choice always comes down to ignoring one group of retards or the other. There is no way to please all the retards. This is a constant of the universe.
#nevent1q…4a7y
Sounds like you excel at coping.
Sorry you guys couldn’t be bothered to show up when it counted.
Oh, Thanks for the report, haven't seen that yet, we'll fix it.
Nostriches are the best.
Thanks to all the early @nprofile…radp testers, the feedback and bug reports are the best!
That's why we released only on nostr.
I clanked, and now we CLINK.
Yes, hook up maple to opencode, and then hook up opencode to whitenoise. (In the android app you can copy a one shot prompt to do that)
It works wondeeful!
I just don’t care enough to make it part of my app. There are plenty of clients out there that do it just fine. Sidecar stays bitcoin only.
Yeah, this bird isn't meant to be caged

The payment targets proposal was soundly defeated by a vote, but that doesn’t mean I’m done adding payment methods to @npub1car…f0dd.
CLINK offers, a new Nostr-native payment method is coming in the next release. If you have a “noffer” string from your wallet (ShockWallet, Zeus, etc.) you can add it to your bio.
An offer button will appear in profile pages from Sidecar’s search bar, and you can pay them directly from your onboard NWC wallet, or via QR code.

Great question, it's a hard problem.
My strategy for this is:
Bootstrap with nostr and bitcoin plebs, they're at the cutting edge and understand and value the spirit we're building in.
Make it work fantastic for AI agents, because you don't need human friends in the app when you have 100 agents to talk to.
Get it in the hands of journalists and activists who need unstoppable secure messaging.
That's as far as my plan goes as of now, but that's already getting us to 100k+ users hopefully. From there on out it's easier to grow.
Oh welk bericht heb je gezien van @npub1nyv…9nc9 ? 👀
Welcome back!

What are you on about.....what is this uninteroperable Nostr you keep referencing, i use a bazillion different clients every day and it works fine.
Are you complaining about chat/dm? Please dont tell me you are complaining about chat/dms......
Thats not Nostr's fault, thats everyone chasing their tail of some impossible problem fault, and announcing to the world that this time they are truelly about to catch it

In 2025, I spoke to a packed room of attorneys and wealth advisors who worked with ultra-high-net-worth families. Only about 10% said they owned bitcoin. Everyone had heard of it, yet 90% had zero allocation.
These professionals guided billion-dollar families, so their limited exposure suggested their clients' wealth was underexposed too. Their questions clustered around four issues: utility, volatility, regulation, and upside.
The useful mechanism was position sizing. Family offices already managed volatile holdings such as Tesla, Nvidia, and Amazon. A smaller bitcoin position could limit portfolio-level risk while giving a family exposure to an asset with fixed supply and asymmetric potential.
With fewer committees and mandates than many institutions, family offices could act faster once they developed conviction. Their long time horizons fit an asset that can be violently volatile over shorter periods.
The Deloitte report I cited in 2025 put family-office wealth above $5 trillion and projected nearly $10 trillion by 2030. That made the allocation shift worth watching, even if only a fraction moved into bitcoin.
See how the 2025 allocation conversation moved from whether bitcoin belonged in the portfolio to how much: https://firebtc.io/p/a-family-office-affair
We only show these requests when a relay in your list is broken. If you have broken relays in your list then that slows down every client of every user who's viewing your posts. That's why a radical solution is adequate. We definitely have to work on these checks and fixes, they can be further improved.
It looks like you have bad relays in your list. Check and remove those that are not online at the moment. We should automatocally fix this in white noise.
The biggest pro@npub1whtn0s68y3cs98zysa4nxrfzss5g5snhndv35tk5m2sudsr7ltms48r3ec right now is inefficient processing of the group state and inefficient relay connections.
You can think of white noise like the equivalent of a Bitcoin full note versus a bank account. Apps like Signal have the benefit of a central server that can offload a whole bunch of processing and therefore make it much more efficient on the client application.
White noise is a local first convergence machine. So it has to do a whole bunch of processing to keep in sync with the group. This gets especially tricky when the app is closed or offline and has to catch up.
Currently it's designed so that it is very unlikely to fork the consensus, but at a huge computational cost.
What we're working on now is to massively improve the performance of our convergence state machine, and to also make our relay connections a whole lot smarter. This is a big undertaking and it will take us about a week of back end library development but expect a lot performance improvements and battery optimizations in the coming weeks.
I'll look into it, we're using roborazzi atm.
Het staat er volledig los van.
En ja, ik denk dat @npub1nyv…9nc9 ze deels wakker hebben geschud... Have you tried managing them in a browser using @nprofile…jv6s?
https://sidecar.top
Glad to hear that!
@nprofile…we42 is a rock star designer, the UIs are beautiful now!
Where on youtube, what video?
If you are going to write, try out the app 'yakihonne', its geared towards writing and reading longform. You can actually log into yakihonne with Primal....i think, on android atleast that should work

Nostr is not a platform, there is no 'here'; there are places however. Kind of like asking what the social dynamic on the internet is, whilst there are all there different websites with completely different purposes, crowds etc.
Carefull Alice, you might find out how deep this rabbithole goes. I already notified white rabbit Dawn, she can pull you deeper underground.
You can also always ask me stuff and i will bombard you with more than you asked for and regardless of how much can you can chew.
Here is something different for you to follow:
@nprofile…sp4n
Good luck
@nprofile…9vs7 it seems we have a prime subject here.
User reports bug on @nprofile…radp
I forward to the agent on @nprofile…radp
Agent sends me apk to test the fix on @nprofile…radp
It feels like magic to build the app inside the app.
Yeah, this appeared recently, still troubleshooting, thanks for the report!
Good to hear about image upload speed! Download is too slow tho...
Yeah, and second group is filling up fast too!
they are not accounts. I know @npub1gcx…nj5z calls them that, but that is because he is crazy and can't be reasoned with.
On a different note; at some point your scenario becomes such it just requires a different client to facilitate your usecase.
One thing i can see usefull for something geared towards multi-profile setups is a prompt before posting asking you which one you want to use for a post, instead that decission being made semi in the background up front.
A settings environment where you can select what scheme should apply to what set of profiles is also something you would probably see in such a client
Yes, its a good idea, we'll do that.
It might take as long to implement that cap rather than just scaling more, haha.
But yes we should do that.
Yes, but in that case they require a google account 😩
