This is cheating. It's not a true client as long as it relies on caching server. By cheating like this, it makes other clients look slow. All of the heavy lifting is done on the caching server; the client is just there to render the optimized feed. Media dimensions, card hydration, user network metrics, all of it is done server-side. This is good for the instant feel that the user gets, but it is not a true client unless it interacts with all of the network without outsourcing to server-side the heavy lifting. Plus, it introduces a centralized choke point that compromises the core premise of #nostr: censorship-resistance.

It's a trend among certain nostr devs lately to abandon the self-sovereign plot for mass onboarding of dumbed down masses. What are you looking for? Mass adoption? Why would a normie posting on Instagram or X come here? It's a fuckin circlejerk, they will never stay even if they do try it out. Cleanse by fire is the only true onboarding mechanism.

What about the electrum server? You need to scan to verify receipt. If this step us done by a public server, the the passed and future addresses will be known by the selected server. This is the main issue here.

I can't understand how you moved from anonymous 2fiat to topping up your "debit card"? Having an anonymous debit card is the real issue. If you're saying kyc debit card, why bother topping it up with Bitcoin? It's not that most of the population gets paid in bitcoin — the majority are being paid their salaried in fiat and buy bitcoin with what's left. The flow you're describing is for someone who earns bitcoin but cannot spend it as merchants do not accept it.

Have you used Amber but the offline version? It does not have to talk to relays and it not does require network permission; however, there's an online version too that does talk to relays.
