I went to one once, probably 20 years ago, or so. There was a pizza buffet along the wall. Kids were grabbing small slices and running all over the place.
Curious about what a pizza, (in a buffet, from a place advertising itself as a seafood restaurant), would be like, I grabbed triangle of pepperoni. All I could taste was sweetness. It was LOADED with sugar. The behavior of the children made sense. Their parents must have been clueless, or just plain dumb.

“””REP. RYAN: It seems to me that the argument here is that the intention of QEII is what we ought to be focusing on because the intention is to bring rates down through economic growth, and therefore, the intention is what should matter here. But this is debt monetization. So isn’t that really a distinction without a difference?
MR. BERNANKE: No, sir. If monetization would involve a permanent increase in the money supply to basically pay the government’s bills through money creation, what we’re doing here is a temporary measure, which will be reversed so that at the end of this process, the money supply will be normalized. The amount of the Fed’s balance sheet will be normalized and that there will be no permanent increase either in money outstanding, in the Fed’s balance sheet or in inflation.”””

@npub1ajt…c0cs 🇵🇷
An organizer based on Puerto Rico helping to co create strategies and experiences for a better future.
When we interviewed users on Nostr or those considering using it, we heard a few key points. Many praised Nostr for being amazing, friendly, and innovative but felt the platform was dominated by discussions about Bitcoin. While people enjoyed features like lightning and zaps—even those who hadn’t thought much about payments or cryptocurrencies—there was a strong desire for more diverse content. They didn’t want less Bitcoin content; they just wanted more variety. After all, Nostr stands for Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays.
We also heard from creators and journalists frustrated with centralized social media platforms. They found the algorithms opaque and felt pressured to create content that served advertising models, resulting in a constant chase for viral hits. The money they earned from platform advertising was minimal. Some creators have already found success on Nostr, benefiting from direct payments from their audience or through subscription content.
So, how do we bring more diverse content to Nostr? We search for people, get them on board, promote them on the protocol, and figure out what they need to be successful.
To that end, we’ve launched a program for creators and journalists on Nostr. Over the past two months, we’ve been onboarding new people and publications, setting them up with multiple Nostr apps and a wallet. We’ve spent hours with each of them, learning about their needs and teaching them about Nostr. We’ve also reached out to the Nostr community and app developers to help promote these new members.
Our plan is to continue onboarding new folks, welcoming a new cohort of creators and journalists each week. Instead of relying on algorithms to promote them, we’re using the power of humans—the Nostr community. Twitter originally grew this way with its ‘Follow Friday’ initiative, where people shared curated lists of new accounts to follow. It was entirely grassroots, with people helping each other discover new and interesting content.
Thanks to everybody who put this together! So much work has gone in to finding and onboarding these folks and it’s exciting.
I want to call out thanks to @npub1j60…d7ua who spearheaded this project, @npub1uaa…87z6 who did the design, @npub16zs…92l7 , @npub1yl8…vz34 , @npub138h…rdr2 , and @npub1k2d…v5hn who did development, and @npub1lur…t0xg who make sure the lights stayed on.
This project wasn’t just something from Nos, we also are doing it in partnership with Damus, Primal, Highlighter, YakiHonne, and Nostr.build.
Thanks to @npub137c…k37w , @npub16c0…6nvr , @npub1h50…rqev , @npub1xts…kk5s , @npub1l2v…ajft , and @npub1yzv…rf8q .
A special thanks as well to @npub1sg6…f63m who saw the promise that Nostr has to offer and helped fund it in a way that let’s us develop Nostr as a community with a diversity of projects and open bottom up participation of users, developers, and designers.
We’re building this open ecosystem together.

Generally (USA specifically), I feel as if the overall disgust with the government in the recent year had a major influence. The unwillingness of gen z to want to vote at all for the upcoming election, due to the powers that be severing any trust the youth had left with the institutions (financial and political), they are now in the state vs us mindset. This is when bitcoin comes in.
The fact that bitcoin is the easiest and most accessible investment option for the youth, those who majority aren’t interested in stocks, and probably don’t even know how the stock exchange works, Bitcoin is far easier to understand and easily invest in.
@npub1cas…dg5l is immensely popular with the youth, they have perfected the UX, and have made bitcoin digestible and normalized for the average user. With a simple and aesthetically pleasing design that is able to attract the younger user. If you go on TikTok, there are an abundance of videos showcasing the ease of stacking sats on cashapp, an app people already have on their phones. (Venmo is more popular with older gens, as it is far more formal)
Personally, my own friends who already used cashapp, have just bought bitcoin on the app just to try it out, despite it being in small amounts they still are getting that taste of financial freedom. I haven’t really forced bitcoin on my friends, that’s just corny when finance isn’t what we talk about at all, so having more and more friends come to me knowing i stack sats everyday which they think is a “hobby”, they are able to see me invest in my future and own a “stock” (that’s how i explain it to my friends) but its stock without the dirty money and antics the gov can pull. It’s freedom from the government that has wronged us.
Just as I am an early adopter of nostr among my peers, (they will come, they just aren’t ready yet), they are just now finally old enough to understand Bitcoin since they are finally in charge of their finances.
Gen z wants to make a change, their ideals and revolutionary ideology, despite what many assume, are absolutely exactly the same as those of Bitcoin. They just haven’t made the connection to the money yet. They are now, slowly but surely.

What makes it even worse, is the fact that they will never tell you that they have
switched from English to Legalese, and if that is not dishonest, underhand and
unscrupulous, then I don't know what is! If you answer the question believing that
English is being spoken, then they pretend that you are contracting with them to
become subordinate to them. Whether or not that is actually true is debatable because
that is effectively a verbal c ontract between you and them and for any contract to be
valid, there has to be full and open disclosur e of all of the terms of the contract, and
then, unreserved acceptance by both parties, and in these cases, that has most
definitely, not occurred

And, like I said, women respond to relative status.
So, if a black women gets 10 men writing them on a dating site, and she knows women of other races are averaging 15, she will be humbled.
She still has plenty of opportunity, but she won't FEEL like she does.

Fucking True.. use #Amethyst since day one basically. vitor implemented ad built so many things in the first 2/3 months that all devs where almost pissed by him..
Probably that was thw beginning when Influencors putted him in the corner.. also because I admit, he always wanted to do thw shit his own ways, without listening to others.. but man, he was GFY since the beginning. He was and is the spirit of #Nostr itself, also because like for Onyx, you can fork #Amethyst and do what you please. I used Onyx.

Apparently it’s a powerful antioxidant with an impressive variety of plant compounds that act as antioxidants — protecting cells against free radicals and oxidative stress. I’m sure there are more, but the antioxidants found in saffron that I remember reading about were:
* crocin
* crocetin
* safranal (gives saffron its distinct taste and aroma. I read a study that said it could possibly help improve mood, memory, and learning abilities, as well as protect brain cells against oxidative stress)
* kaempferol (has been linked to health benefits, such as reduced inflammation, anticancer properties, and antidepressant activity)
From what I’ve gathered, saffron has been linked to several other potential health benefits, such as improved heart disease risk, blood sugar levels, and eyesight. I also read that saffron is used as an anticonvulsant (anti-seizure) remedy in Iranian folk medicine. Another article mentioned that saffron could help slow the progression of Alzheimer’s and relieve some symptoms.
So I figured it might be worth trying even if only half of the claims are true.

When someone says, “ I heard this one thing and I think I might think this thing now”,
I want to try harder to be the kind of person who says, “ oh that’s interesting. I think I might think this thing because of these other things, but that’s cool.”
The whole “I’m an expert who must prove you wrong and change your mind” approach is so… teenage basement dweller. Especially since really, no one owes us an explanation for anything.

@npub1j87…3hzx changed my opinions on open source licenses, which I’ve held for over a decade, with a single sentence… “all foss licenses other than MIT require some form of state power to enforce” . Meaning, all of the common open source licenses support, and rely on, the State’s coercion through violence.

I’m no pro but here is what I have observed. They aren’t very sweet by themselves and have a bit of a bright flavor that finishes with a bitter/tanic flavor, they need to be very ripe to not have much. Ideally how ripe is essentially they fall off the shrub with a brush of the hand. Partly why I’m experimenting with them in jams this year is try to find something they shine at. They likely aren’t going to be your favored fresh eating table or dessert fruit. But I have acquired a bit of an appreciation for them even fresh, but it’s partly out of duty or “medicine”. I’m testing if they shine as a flavor that opens up when cooked and after adding sweetness in processing.
I made some jam a week or so that was a combination of 50% strawberry and 50% haskap, equal cups of sugar as fruit. Which was banging. This time around I was trying to isolate the haskaps to see if they what their solo flavor was. Right now I would have confidence to say they can be worked in with other berries for diversity, brightness, to take advantage of their incredible color, or ample pectin. Or you can use them solo if you add enough sugar and they would pair well with otherwise rich foods like cheesecake.
Fruit grows under the leaves so you either have to get down low or else pull back the branches to see them underneath. If the fruit doesn’t come off easily I’d let them ripen more. Fruit doesn’t ripen uniformly so you will pick over the same shrub multiple times. And will need to check daily. Care has been pretty easy I’ve done nothing to them since planting. They grow in the same beds as strawberries which I let run rampant. My plan was to let the strawberries burn out in that bed after a few years and by then the shrubs would be established. Its worked out well so far.

After the event of Golgotha, the Christ impulse is with every single human since birth. At 3.5 months it's advised to get baptized to secure the bond. Before Christ, only the very few top tier initiated could get a proper look into the heavens. Socrates and Pythagoras are great such examples. Today is day 50 after Catholic Easter, the day Holy Spirit came down to earth. You may remember the initial block reward of 50 bitcoins within the first epoch. Are you paying attention, anon?
Regards,
Management.
