The "easiest" setup for Lightning on Nostr would be to use the clients with integrated wallets, like Primal and Wisp, which do so using Spark.
Moving down the list from there would be custodial Lightning wallet providers that have Nostr Wallet Connect integration. This just requires a brief wallet setup and then copy/pasting a NWC connection string into the user's chosen client. This is probably the method supported by the widest variety of Nostr clients these days. Users can opt to use providers like Coinos, Rizful, or MiniBits, or Npub.cash.
Zeus is a bit of a hybrid. It starts out as custodial using ecash for new users who don't yet have enough sats to justify opening a Lightning channel, but it provides a Lightning address for receiving zaps. In my testing, it can be connected to Nostr clients for sending zaps using Nostr Wallet Connect, but this doesn't seem to work with the ecash balance, only once the user has set up a Lightning channel and have a balance available. That being the case, I would recommend one of the above options until they are ready to take on self-custody.

The more fundamental reason tallow works as a base is biology. Tallow is rendered beef fat, and in Latin the word for tallow, sebum, is also the word for the natural oil your skin produces to regulate moisture and protect the skin barrier.
That's not a coincidence. Tallow's fatty acid composition is remarkably close to human sebum. It's primarily oleic acid (roughly 40 to 50%), palmitic acid (roughly 25 to 30%), and stearic acid (roughly 20%). Those are the same fatty acids your skin is already using to maintain its barrier function

Jesus taught something radically different from the “eye for an eye” principle found in the Hebrew Scriptures (Exodus 21:24, Leviticus 24:20, Deuteronomy 19:21).
“Turn the other cheek… love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.” (Luke 6:27–29)
In the cultural context of the time, “eye for an eye” was the accepted standard for justice and retaliation. A backhanded slap to the right cheek was often an insult or act of domination rather than a life-threatening attack. Jesus directly challenged that mindset of revenge and personal vengeance. His teaching focused on refusing retaliation, not necessarily banning all forms of self-defence.
Early Christians, including Marcionites, took these commands seriously. Many refused military service and rejected violent retaliation altogether. Marcionite communities were known for their strong stance against returning harm for harm.
This stands in clear contrast to the God of the Hebrew Scriptures, who repeatedly commanded retributive violence and the total destruction of enemies.
Importantly, Jesus’ words were aimed at stopping cycles of retaliation — not at forbidding someone from protecting themselves or their family when under attack.
Disrespecting and not trusting politicians is a firm perspective for me, I cannot be shaken from this position
