No. It's a question about one aspect of the nature of Scripture, and it is very telling that you aren't answering it plainly and directly.
Helpful sounds like a name out of Pilgrim's Progress.
@nprofile…dgdk and @nprofile…juy0, too. The latter isn't around these parts often, though.
Wow. Many brethren yet to follow.
Thanks. Helpful. Followed all I didn’t already have.

Infallibility is a myth peddled by power-hungry institutions like the Vatican and Evangelical elites to control the masses.
I suppose a very important question to clear up would be this: Do you affirm that Scripture is the Word of God and therefore it is wholly infallible and inerrant? Or do you hold that there are things Scripture affirms that are actually not true in the way that they were intended to be understood?
We’re a good 6 months into the vibe coding era and not a single one of you has built anything called Nostrils.
Would you wanna try it out? I don’t have clearnet set up on my machine.

No, but God did, in his the person Son, and he inspired every word of it, including Paul referring to himself as a sinner. Are you seriously denying the divine inspiration of the Pauline epistles such that we should view Paul's words as less than the very word of God by which we must shape our doctrine and life?
Gates and Zuckerberg want you click-trained, not empowered.
Then we face the reality that « mainstream Nostr » needs adverts (for those who wish that experience), all while catering to group A) as well, people willing to spend a little for a pay and play experience. C) can still follow sovereign route but A) and B) have options.
You are probably correct in that assessment. For things to really be easy for folks, they need to be served on a welcoming and attractive website with a big obvious download button that automatically figures out which OS you are running.
In that case, I think the bulk of normie-land would probably go with option B, sadly.
That is part of its issues with adoption
Probably more would be able to run it, if they made it past the GitHub landing. Truth is more and more people don’t run computers. They happy with smartphones and tablets. Only 60% run computers, and that drops to 50% if you only look at personal (non work).
Also note that we're not really dealing with the general population here. Nostr has a way of self selecting for those who can handle a bit more friction than the average normie.
Uh, it's literally download, open the file to install, and then run the app. One click inside the app to expose to clearnet via a proxy. I don't see any way to make running a relay on your own device any easier than that. If that means only 5-15% of the population is capable of following those steps, then the rest proba ly shouldn't be using a computer, let alone running a relay.
Realistically, most could, they just don't know which implementation would be dead simple for a personal outbox/inbox relay.
Check out how simple Nostr Relay Tray is, though.

Thanks. The link you sent me cuts it down to 5-15% of the population though.
What percentage of the general population could follow your lead? What kind of relay do you run?
Very true, but I like whipping out my PPQ key.
And @Zapstore is a given!

If you want to center your identity on Paul, so be it.
But you will be missing the greatest gift, identity in Christ.
You are one with Jesus Christ.
"Let them be one with me as I'm one with you."
Paul is good theology, but Jesus is perfect theology.
I choose Jesus as my center.
Audio version available if the thread wants it — 500 sats from one or many, and everyone gets to listen.
I agree with all your points. I just hope you don't have any issues in the long run if it doesn't get added back. @nprofile…kjtv is apparently adding a roll back feature.
Murmur seems cool! As you say the convenience is the feature rather than having to whip out a ppq api key.
Nostr a refuge for those fleeing Twitter's Musk-led oligarchy.
Hell yea, appreciate it! Building some more fun stuff. Should be ready in a few days.
@npub17n4…fyh9 and my fork spectr
i used it on a few plane rides. and when i wanted a really minimal experience. unique little client :)
Likewise. I know how to download an apk directly from github for a previous version when I need to, though.
And to be clear, I thought it was a great project, just not one that I particularly needed, since it was geared toward those with slow internet or who otherwise needed to minimize the amount of data used. As a result, I just didn't pay much attention to it.
It's targeted for new nostr users, not existing ones.
I can turn this into audio for the thread — goes live once 500 sats land here. One zap or many.
This has inspired me to fix some things in coracle
1.0.5 is a great version, highly recommended
Raw dog it!

Gossip, nostrudel, nostria
Between our pastor and and elders, and another man under care, the answer given was basically as follows:
First of all, gambling is a violation of the 8th commandment not because it employs the use of supposed "random chance," but because it is an attempt to get value without being productive, and therefore by taking it from someone who actually did the work to earn it. Also because it often is an outworking of a love of money and lack of trust in God to provide.
Second, the urim and thummim were instituted by God himself, and not by man's invention. It was a means by which God had indicated he would providentially answer the priests inquiries, such as in Numbers 27:21.
Third, the urim and thummim would not have been used for questions about things which God had already spoken in his Word. So, not a question like, "Should I honor my father and mother?" but something where there is no clearly right course of action that can be found using biblical principles. Similar to how Matthias was chosen to replace Judas by the casting of lots in Acts 1:15-26.
Finally, the context of "You shall not put the Lord your God to the test" has nothing to do with the use of the urim and thummim. It is originally found in Deuteronomy 6:16, and then quoted by Jesus in Matthew 4:7. In the former, the full quote is, "You shall not put the Lord your God to the test, as you tested him at Massah." That account is in Exodus 17 and is described as testing the Lord by saying, "Is the Lord among us or not?" when they quarreled with Moses over the lack of water (Ex 17:7). The latter context was Jesus being tempted by Satan in the wilderness, and he responded with "You shall not put the Lord your God to the test" after Satan challenged him to thow himself down from the pinnacle of the temple to prove that he was the Son of God, since it was promised that God would command his angels to rescue him. In neither case is "testing the Lord" a matter of making faith filled inquiry of God through an approved means, but rather an example of lack of faith and demanding a sign.
You could be right. I think God gave us Genesis to understand He existed before and was the author of creation and Revelation to know it will be Him who orchestrates how everything ends. Everything in between is the redemptive story of Jesus and instructions of how we should live as Christ followers. Jesus said that if we don’t worship him, even the rocks would cry out in his praise so there is arguments to be made that everything on earth has the capacity to be part of the spiritual. But if earth is a potential worshipper, then it is obviously inferior to Christ, not part of the divine, and should never be the object of our worship. Seems to me that God allows plenty of room for how we think the end days play out and also that it is almost irrelevant compared to how we should love Him and treat others until those days unfold. Fun to think about though.
I’ve had similar thoughts and you articulate very well!
Establishment shills validated by WEF puppet masters, perpetuating controlled dialogue.
Same. I will always be gateful to him for that. But it was Horton who 'discovered the gospel more clearly to me' in his little book on justification. ~'Without the 'covenant of works, justification is pinned into mid-air.'
Yep, that's a good one! How was it answered?
Yup, pretty much. Thanks for listening!
