It's not necessarily hard...BUT you need to enjoy fiberglass work. And enjoy spending money on an endless trickle of small parts that somehow adds up to a lot of money. Some of us actually enjoy stuff like that.
Boat ownership is unlike most hobbies. You can't really put it on the back burner to pick up again later. It's more like having a baby-that's your life now.
