“It’s a Wonderful Life” remains a popular Christmas movie because Christians long for a return of community and a financial system that isn’t controlled exclusively by Evil greedy Jews, and it being an old movie in black and white invokes a fictitious nostalgia (that most wouldn’t dare put to writing): if only we could go back to being a country of Christian White men instead of the jewed-up hellscape we live in today.
If "It's a Wonderful Life" had any redeeming quality, it would have been remade by now.
