Sometimes I have an idea of what I want to wear. If I don’t, I made a random watch picker on my site. So if I’m logged in, I get options to choose a watch at random and select a watch to wear for the day.

1gb RAM should be ample unless your site is getting hundreds of thousands of hits per day.
My site runs on a 2gb VPS, but with a load of other stuff too, and I use about 50% of my ram.
My suggestion would be to switch to Cloudways. They look after all that for you and it isn’t much more expensive than a standard VPS.

that's the annoying thing - we used to do that, but now there's separate sections for each of the kids, so she says it's more difficult digitally. Apparently a separate calendar for each of us is too hard. 🤷‍♂️

Lots of great feedback and food for thought, thanks folks. What I’m hearing is:
- Most of you have found your home on the fedi so why would you move (great point!)
- A niche would be better than just a general server
- In principle it’s a good idea, but there’s problems with the idea (see above)

I’ve been stewing on starting a new #Mastodon server for a few months now. It would be paid only and have a finite limit on members (I’m thinking 500). Rationale being that only people who want to be there, will be, and they will hopefully be more engaged as they’re paying for membership.
500 means it will be big enough to have a nice community, but small enough to not be overwhelming or too noisy,
Would you be interested in joining such a server?

Yeah agreed. These are so cheap that spare parts are rare. I’d say either get a new one (eww plastic waste 😞) or a second hand one from eBay so then you have some spares.
My advice would be to upgrade to a baby G - they’re more expensive, but much more robust. You shouldn’t need to repair it, but spares do tend to be available for them.

yeah, there's definitely that part of it - the dings are the memories you've built wearing that watch. But I know me, and I know it would annoy the shit out of me haha.
I wouldn't think "oh that happened during that day with the kids..." I'd think "that's where I was a sausage and dropped my watch" 😂

one of my team has a Speedy. It's lovely watch, but I personally prefer the seamaster over the speedy. The Zurich a stunning watch.
I'd love something that premium, but I'd just worry about scratching something that expensive up.
I'd rather not say which watch I'm (hopefully) getting yet. :)

secure sending of notes, username generator, the ability to add credit cards and identities, then autofill them, the fact that I don't need to manually configure it all to work with my browsers, like Keepass, official browser extensions.
There's probably more, that's just off the top of my head. Besides, I'm not looking to move from Bitwarden. I'm just frustrated with them at the moment.

Having has bikes of all sizes and power up to around 150bhp, I think somewhere between 40-80 is the perfect amount. I love pootling around on my little Enfield 650. Ridiculously powerful bikes just don’t do it for me.

ok, I'll say it again in simplified English (should I drop all the U's from words and replace S with Z too? 😂)
I wanted a petrol strimmer (image below as you Americans probably call it something different, like a "spinny freedom grass chopper" or something). I got one for free as the previous owner thought the engine was fucked, but it wasn't. It just needed a service and some new fuel lines, which cost me around $8 for the parts.

Been after a petrol strimmer for a while, but didn’t want to pay a stupid amount for one.
Found a non-running one for free locally. Wasn’t running because of perished fuel lines. £6 in parts and the thing is now running great. 😂
