Taking the optimist approach, I wonder if it's possible for people to build up immunity to graphene oxide after just taking one dose of the jab the same way others build up immunities to venom after being bitten by poisonous snakes once or twice.

I read somewhere that the vast majority of a plant's mass comes from the air via photosynthesis. If true, that means that landmasses can conveivably rise by folliage accumulation alone, in addition to tectonic and volcanic activity. And that rising CO2 levels should accelerate this process.
Which also makes me think about all those buried ruins in South America feet deep in forrest undergrowth, how much of that landmass grew from the same process, and how fast that rate was when CO2 levels were purportedly higher.
So it seems to me that the Earth is a lot more self-correcting than what the climate-alarmists would have us believe and, unless sea levels somehow rise far in excess of these corrections, most places won't experience such a comparative rise in lieu of the above.

It's like a prosecutor admitting to a judge in a criminal case that a photo of a crime scene was edited during post-production while giving no list of what those edits were and expecting everyone to treat the photo the same way as a raw, unadulterated image. Obviously that wouldn't fly to most juries or judges, and neither should it fly here for those of us concerned about actual Reality.
Maybe there's a raw image somewhere of this particular scene without the border lines and whatever else they added or omitted, but the image itself is not the gold standard of what we should be expecting.
Hence it's fake.

It hit me the other day that as repugnant as I find racism to be, we have to thank racism for the diversity of color and culture that comprises humanity. Because by and large, people prefer to congregate with those similar to themselves, all else being equal, purely out of instinct. And that is technically racist...which is okay. In fact, it's great. Because in the end it helps keep humanity interesting, diverse, and not a boring homogenous mix. And for those of us who are, shall we say, expanding our dating options...that is indeed the best kind of world to have.
So in a paradoxically hilarious way, racism (when done peacefully) gives everyone a place and opportunity to thrive. In their own way.
Which is far from what the opposite does, which intentionally DESTROYS options for the sake of homogeneity...even though it inevitably creates a world where the most brutal racists would exist (because when all colors are mixed...only one color remains. Whatever that is).
People call it globalism, but there has to be a better word for it imo. A word that describes the attitude that is vehemontly bigoted towards anything remotely resembling racism, even when it's benign, while sowing the seeds for the worst kind of racism by homogenizing everything to oblivion.

Millennials were the most financially handicapped generation during the 2008 housing crisis. And it was with them that the related housing-financial-ponzi schemes began to evaporate. So it was easy to scapegoat this generation for the economy crashing. And if the economy didn't crash with them, it would had crashed with zoomers, making them the scapegoat instead.
Now those millennials are starting families, and the ponzi's diminishing marginal returns are diminishing even faster than the previous collapse. As for boomers, a demographic most dependent on the housing equity-ponzi-schemes, they'll buy the rhetoric again, to some extent at least. But even here the narrative will collapse. Because unlike in 2008, the dollar's reserve status is on its death bed, making the inflation effects of a similar, but greater, bailout all but impossible to hide. Who will they blame then? Zoomers? Please.
If anything, there's a real potential for both millennials and zoomers to be even more conservative than their forebears if only they collectively embraced meritocracy, instead of the divide-and-conquer rhetoric that has been forced down our throats for decades. And yes, that includes derisive attitudes towards boomers in general.
The opportunity is there.

If you're wondering why our federal political system is primarily composed of old geezers in office, consider this: The U.S. population is aging out from a combination of anti-family policies that have been put in place since the 1970s (be they the legalization and promotion of abortion, feminism, no-fault-divorce, etc). And the invasion at the border, assuming the people who illegally enter stay permanently, won't be enough to offset this trend. That is, if you convinced me that these are the types of people we need to offset this trend at all, which we don't.
This is not a coincidence. A population mostly composed of the geriatric is much more dependent on government services since their progeny is too small in proportion for their economic support. This dependence fosters more and more dependence until, finally, we have people like Pelosi and Biden in office to appeal to the broadest age-categories, yet clearly too old and decrepit to fulfill their duties. It also fosters an attitude of anti-independence on part of the elderly for fear that any such movement would destroy their taxpayer-subsidized benefits (even though the current system is doomed to fail anyway since it's an overglorified ponzi scheme). Ergo, independence movements are nullified while government expands, at least til it all falls apart. That's socialism for you.
And if you think Trump is somehow seperate from this dynamic, think again. Why else do you think he's been so silent about secession and TEXIT despite both being more popular than ever? Because they're both contrary to the concerns of a big chunk of his retired boomer base. And possibly even his bottom line since Trump, as a brand, is international.
This is not to say that Trump is worse than Biden. Or better than DeSantis. When it comes to the lesser of the evils, Trump and Desantis are by far the least, bar none. But I'm no fool. I personally think that emancipation does have merit in various circumstances (abusive relationship from a parent, child is only a few years shy of 18, obviously more of an adult than his/her guardians, etc). All in all though, there is no rush, and I'm certain most minors would agree since there's lots of perks to being a legally-recognized minor anyway (pranks notwithstanding. But you have a fair point about it having been gamed in the past by the left to justify heinous things. It's by no means a perfect solution.

Tim's also missing the necessary requirement on the parent to consider whether the adult version of their child would agree with them that the procedure was necessary. Otherwise it IS abuse by any stretch of the imagination. Yet none of these procedures are necessary in the slightest. They are cosmetic at best, and irreversible in most cases. So once these kids start suing their parents on this basis, it'll destroy this narrative that these parents are peddling. That they're doing it "for their own good".
After all, why on earth would anyone ever do something like this to a minor unless they didn't care for their future well being and are exploiting their vulnerability as such? People who illegally cross into this country, and without being vetted and permitted by the prevailing immigration system, are NOT "immigrants". And yet the left gets away with this rhetoric a lot when discussing immigration POLICY with the right. Furthermore, the term "invaders" is more than appropriate when describing these people because by and large, they not only commit more crime on average than both native and genuine immigrants BAR NONE (in fact, naturalized citizens are surprisingly law abiding, even when compared to native counterparts, probably due to the vetting process itself, but I digress), but their utter refusal to be vetted (which includes checking for warrants for their arrest in other countries) belies their intent to commit more crime on its face. They not only skip the process and pass through the fence illegally, but they overwhelmingly skip the scheduled asylum hearings when "caught and released". The fact that most of their crimes are petty is immaterial; they have INVADED, and even avoid vetting even when caught, and then commit more crimes ON OUR SOIL. That is, by deinition, an INVASION. And them INVADERS. They may not be stereotypical barbarian hoards, but even groups of low level thieves ransacking a border town in medieval times have been called such. Pick up a History book.
Yes, immigration as a system is tedious, and we can argue on how to expedite that system for prospective immigrants without sacrificing the vetting process. But as tedious as it may be, guess what; very rarely are the capped quotas for residencies ever met by any country, at least according to available State Dept records. In other words, we have such a lenient immigration system that even with taxpayer support for the immigrants via vouchers, grants, housing, etc, very rarely do the embassies deny applications due to sheer volume of applicants. The opportunity to be vetted and enter IS THERE yet rarely exhausted, and suspiciously omitted by the left.
So riddle me this: since the federal government has a monopoly on SECURITY at the border, and your taxes pay for this: do you prefer that the feds use this monopoly wisely or poorly? Because if it's wisely, you need the immigration system to be enforced. Poorly? Well, that's exactly what an invader would say, isn't it.
If you don't want the feds to have this monopoly, preferring that someone else do it in their place, that's one thing and there's an argument for that (See TEXIT and secession). But this is the system we have NOW. With YOUR MONEY (or rather, mine and everyone else's if you happen to be a net tax-consumer). We pay for this for a reason and should expect PERFORMANCE. Otherwise, we should demand a REFUND. Either way, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Either the feds make this system work, or they give it up to someone else who will. Anything less would be an injustice.
And if no one wishes to make it work, then damn it; perhaps instead of talking about immigrants and invaders, we should be discussing settlers and colonizers in the newfound wild west.

Probably one of the dumbest things I've ever heard from the MCU was when Vision gave a pro-pacificist argument that "strength invites conflict" during Captain America Civil War, which implies the inverse: that weakness invites peace. Then later turns full blown authoritarian against Scarlet because her powers were too scary for normal people.
Honestly, I wasn't saddened at all by what Thanos did to him later. If he had been killed a fifth time, I probably would had laughed.
Still, for Scarlet to invest so much of herself into such a douchebag after what he did to her probably makes it the second dumbest thing I've seen in the MCU before the rest of it really went to crap.
Scarlet and Vision, imo, are probably the most unbelieveable, paradoxical couple ever concocted.

It occurred to me today while asking someone a hypothetical to gauge their intelligence that the result depends on the whether the scenario is based around a natural desire or aversion (such as winning the lottery, or getting sick with cancer, etc) versus something that is abstract and divorced from basic wants and fears (such as waking up with four arms instead of two, finding out that gravity is a choice, etc). Most people, even the mentally challenged, will answer the first type of hypotheticals with ease because it's practically built into their day-to-day lives. But it's the second that throws others for a loop because, for once, they have to use their imagination...which they rarely use at all.
And sadly, a lot of people simply lack that special something to do just that.

We're pretty much at this nexus-point wherein the other side is arguing that self-defense is white-supremacy and murder/rape "reparations". After that, the argument ends because it's obvious that this side isn't arguing in good faith.
