I work in a local government. What I see and have opinions on, from both my general political outlook (fiscally conservative, libertarian) and also from my internal role, is sometimes at odds.
My municipality is fiscally responsible. When adjusted for inflation, the city’s budget is down about 10% over 20 years, while demand for our services (fire, ambulance, police, recreation, streets) are all up significantly.
Yet, we live on the dole from the federal government. Waiting for grants for much needed infrastructure that never comes.
I’m more convinced every day that government, at local level, where people directly receive daily services - is a net positive for society.
And federal level government is bloated, spread thin, and politically unable to be fiscally responsible.

Stack & Chill or Run the Fool’s Errand
Bitcoin is the easiest investment to make, once you understand it, if you have a long term timeframe.
Unless you’re bullish on governments fiscally responsibility, Bitcoin will continue to fare well over decades.
To be successful though, refrain from thinking short term. “Looks like it’s going down, I’ll sell and rebuy lower” is a fool’s errand. You may get lucky but at what risk and what cost. You risk your stack. You cost yourself mental capacity and anxiety.
Much more productive to stack, DCA, workout, read, spend time with loved ones. That’s real wealth. And that is what you get when you keep your focus on the long term.

Do you live in a Bitcoin? Do you drive a Bitcoin? Does your Bitcoin qualify you to work at certain professions? Real estate, vehicles, educational degrees/certifications are all forms of investments. The fallacy is believing Bitcoin is he only investment one needs.
Different investments provide different life needs. Bitcoin is a sovereign bearer asset, its government-less, permission-less, secure, open source, fast, and transparent money. But its not necessarily the most profitable investment to hold during various time ranges.

You can be a Bitcoin maxi but also diversify. Stay humble.
Miner/Bitcoin related equities often follow the same hype cycle as Bitcoin, with higher beta. Allocating a small amount to ETFs like $DAPP, $BITQ, and $WGMI; along with equities such as $RIOT, $MARA, and $BITF are ways to gain exposure to higher beta plays, while still investing in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Many have January 2025 dated options available! 👀
For me, this is much more palatable than shitcoins. Not investment advice.
