Last Notes npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack Ugh. Turns out, I can't perform under pressure. @npub1s6e…n008, help a guy out? npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack True story. https://www.adn.com/alaska-news/science/2022/05/02/curious-alaska-we-call-mosquitoes-the-unofficial-state-bird-are-they-really-that-scary/ npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack What?!? Alaskan mosquitos have no such fear of open water. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack Is that huge peak to the left the '67 flood? npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack @npub1z8r…mrq6 I read on your website that you're not using Linux anymore, but I noticed btop shows power draw and I'm obsessed. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack Your home-grown OS is starting to look better than anything I want to install. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack Yep, that's my preferred slicer and what I'm building now. I didn't realize wip had to be built from source and didn't automatically turn up in the local package search. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack When 3D printing, there's a piece of software that takes the model and preps it for printing, usually with tweaks for specific printers and filament. Because it's printed in layers, it's usually called a slicer. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack Enjoying my #NetBSD side quest, but did not spot a slicer in #pkgsrc. Any suggestions? npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack I started running honk on an old cell phone under @npub1s9q…7vx8, which was roomy compared to the Raspberry Pi. It doubled as my bedside clock. 😂 npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack I ran honk on Void on a Raspberry Pi for a long time, and had to use GOMEMLIMIT to keep the reaper at bay when it was under heavy load (it resized large images in posts, and several really large images in a row would squeeze memory pretty hard). Have you had any similar issues under NetBSD? npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack Surely little Bobby Tables has graduated from high school by now. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack RE: https://mathstodon.xyz/@svat/117100862706438503 npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack Sorry, cis here, but it's just HUMINT with the tea, yeah? npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack Still waiting for text/markdown support in at least one major email client. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack Do you have a favorite bug from over the years? npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack It looks like paidcracked[.]org might be doing some sketchy SEO stuff, they might be preparing to monetize search results for popular packages, but yeah, wouldn't rule out future malware campaigns. Sketchy all around. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack How far north are you going? We have friends leaving Port Townsend soon, headed to Alaska, but by motor, not sail. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack OK #BikeTooter, choose your fighter. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack That's a new one, coming from a guy who accidentally violated ToS for Google Cloud Shell verifying a firewall swap and is still locked out. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack @npub1hhs…rl5g Waited for my kiddo to bring Automatic Noodle home from uni so I could read it. So good. npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack I found this out by internet bird walk a few years ago: https://www.omao.noaa.gov/noaa-corps/about-noaa-corps npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack RE: https://mastodon.social/@jessie/116543549882711903 npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack @npub1ppe…qv2g My kiddo sat on a bench in Bozeman, MT, yesterday enjoying the sun and got covered in ants. I said, "Oooh, I wonder what kind? You should have sent me a picture!" So today he went back. 😁 npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack @npub1z2c…laft @npub1z8r…mrq6 Printing (from a computer) is ridiculously power-hungry. Do you basically never print, do you use some land-based print service when you have to, or some other method? npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack I have not read any of @npub1hhs…rl5g's nonfiction but it was in the good trouble corner, so coming home. #IndependentBookstoreDay npub14kp3l2uu30hhujv3gm3y50fzqeyyw47a8ltmfyt49ptp0q5pmausqsqyyg Jack I totally would have bought that this was an April 1 pub: "Every manageable element in an IPv8 network is authorised via OAuth2 JWT tokens [RFC7519]."
