This is symptomatic of greenwashing bullshit.
My company's been pushing sustainability for a while: heating less, powering down computers at night... Which is great.
But last week our Grand Poobah invited all 1300 of us to a big meeting in a stadium halway across the country. What for? NOBODY KNOWS!
Between trains, planes and hotels, a colleague estimated roughly half a million € of burned money, and a carbon footprint through the roof to "strenghten our bonds". I don't care, I took the day off.

I'm not an historian, so I can't speak about inaccuracies in Ridley Scott's Napoleon.
I was, however, a horse rider. And it still bugs me 1 month later that Ridely had Joaquin Phoenix ride american style for a movie about a Corsican. He had extras riding european style alongside him, so he had to know.

Seeing politicians destroy democracy, society and the environment is maddening, but keep in mind they are in fact comforted in their POV by the results: they keep being reelected, or moving to higher paying positions in big companies. So why should they change anything if they keep getting rewarded? They're winning the game.
The solution is simple: stop electing sociopaths. Stop buying crap from dirtbags. Make them lose the game.

Tooting in multiple languages is a challenge.
On the one hand I don't want to be stuck in a french bubble. I've known the minitel, climax of french technology, so no thanks. On the other hand I sometimes have kneejerk reactions to french toots.
So it's a balancing act.
Do english speakers filter toots? I don't see many languages in the global feed. Some dutch, a bit of japanese and german... Are the french loud and englishproof, where other people just speak english?

So #firefox in #debian repositories is either ESR on Stable or latest in Sid, but nothing in Testing?
I don't really want to upgrade myself from mozilla's binaries. And ESR has weird memory leaks. Had to switch to chromium (*shudders*) during a call yesterday.
