Great advice.
It always amazes me when people disagree with another, so many people attack the person, calling names and such, instead of defending their point of view with logic and facts. I've even called out people, with whom I mostly agree, for doing this. No one is won to the truth through name calling.

My husband drove across the country with our eldest son to take him and his car to college. The trip was wonderful until it got time to go home. If United Airlines corporate goal was to have the industry's worst customer service, they couldn't be worse.
My husband's flight was delayed repeatedly, so he knew he wouldn't make his connecting flight. He looked online for a later connecting flight and found one that left 3 hours later than the one he was booked on. He then called United to try to transfer his reservation to the later flight. United told him that the flight didn't exist. (It did) When his initial flight got delayed even more so he couldn't make this 3 hour later leg he talked to customer service about a flight that was scheduled to get to Denver earlier than his current flight now was scheduled to get to Denver. He was put on standby and told he was first inline on the new flight. When he walked to the gate, he was 3rd in line. They lied. After he missed his leg home, he went to talk to customer service to get his bag fee refunded since he had to uncheck his bag since he had to spend the night in a hotel. The first clerk he got to after standing in a long line, said "I can't help you. I'm off the clock. I'm going home." He waited for the next clerk to help him. When he got to her, she said the same thing. "I can't help you. I'm off the clock. I'm going home." He waited on the 3rd clerk. When he got to her she said the same thing again. ""I can't help you. I'm off the clock. I'm going home." He replied that he wanted to go home, too and he was supposed to be home before now. Please help. She refused. When he finally got to the last clerk, she said she couldn't help him, only customer support could help him. He asked wasn't this customer support, but she said only the customer support outside of security could help. (Keep in mind their were 4 more clerks doing absolutely at the desk next to them, but those clerks were "reserved" for first class customers).
Somewhere in this whole shenanigan he was put on a flight home exactly 24 hours after he was supposed to get home. He went and talked to the outside customer support about getting his checked baggage fees refunded. They said only the phone customer support people could help him and he would have to provide a bunch of documentation. He was also put on stand by for an earlier flight and once again told that he was first inline. When he got to the gate, he was 4th. (They lied again). We think they kept giving him the runaround and lying to him because they didn't want to help him and hoped he would give up on being taken care of.
If there is any way you can avoid flying United. I strongly recommend it. This is no way to treat your customers.

My husband and I were at a gas station in the Denver area 20+ years ago. A lady at the pump next to us was pumping gas. When she went to stop pumping gas and put the hose back on the pump, a guy jumped in the car and took off. She started screaming that her baby was in the car. My husband took off running after the car. The guy in the car looked back, saw the baby and realized what he had done. There was another car a ways up the parking lot that had obviously been in on the job, so the guy drove up to them, jumped out of the stolen car and into the other car and took off. Both the baby and car were recovered, but it was scary.

I make a homemade lotion/body butter/moisturizer that is awesome. I use half organic leaf lard and half wagyu beef tallow and add a small amount of borage oil & sea buckthorn oil. I add a few drops of essential oils (different ones depending on whether it is for a boy or girl and personal preference). I blend it with an electric mixer. It is truly luxurious.
I started making my own body products because I had to take progesterone through a cream. Knowing the skin absorbs whatever is put on it made me want to mostly use food grade substances on my body. I don't want a bunch of toxic chemicals being absorbed into my body through my skin.

Isn't it great how we worship an incomprehensibly awesome God? We don't serve a God who is just a super hero God with all of the failings of man or one who can be fully comprehended by mortal man. We serve a God who is so powerful, so eternal, so incomprehensibly complex that we, his creation, cannot ever fully comprehend his awesomeness. We can have the joy of constantly learning more and more about him and of him and growing in a relationship with our great God.

Now that's salmon fishing. I was impressed with our haul when we went and stayed in a US forest service cabin on Reflection lake for a week. We got dropped off in an amphibious plane and told that they'd be back in a week, weather permitting. We had a little John boat with something like a 5 hp motor. The recoil on the pull start broke and we had to take it apart and manually rewind if it didn't start on the first pull (we got really good at pull starting). At the upstream end of the lake, we caught 2 nice size silver salmon and each had a giant filet for dinner. (After that we stuck to keeping only one salmon because a half filet was more than sufficient to fill us up and we had no way to save leftovers). That was a fun trip back in 2000 or 2001. I've always wanted to go back

It is frustrating, isn't it.
The same thing happened with Kavanaugh during his hearings. I didn't want him on the Supreme Court, but I couldn't stand the lies that were being told about him and ended up defending him much more than pointing out the problems with him. I also care more about the truth than party or personality.

Homeschooling has been the best decision I ever made. It has been perfect for both of my kids.
My eldest, who just moved into his college dorm room this morning, is super gifted and advanced, but has a few things that would've held him back (like being hyper literal and unable to understand figures of speech and problems with handwriting that made it so he couldn't properly write a paper by hand, but could do wonderfully if allowed to type). He is confident in who he is. He has excelled at school, especially math, science, and programming, and earned free tuition at college due to his 35/36 on the ACT.
Homeschooling has also been wonderful for my youngest who has Down Syndrome. He is 16 and most of his work is at about the 3rd grade level, but since I brought him home to school, he has progressed much faster than when he was in the government schools being taught by the "experts". I can make lots of progress in less time. We have fun together. We go at the rate that is right for him.
The amazing thing about homeschooling is that I can encourage their strengths and spend extra time on their weaknesses (I did handwriting with my eldest through middle school to help him). I can change the way I teach to match the learning style of each kid, which I had to do. If it worked with my eldest, it wouldn't work at all with my youngest and if it worked well with my youngest, it wouldn't work at all with my eldest. It has challenged my creativity, but it has totally been worth it. It is fun learning (or relearning or unlearning) with my kids and I am closer with them than I would've been if I'd sent them off to government schools.
Deciding to homeschool my kids was the best decision of my life.

The government loves inflation. They get to pay off their debt with less valuable dollars and they get to collect taxes on "capital gains" that are mostly, or entirely just inflation.
Sadly, most people, when looking at their gains, don't take inflation into effect. If you make 5% gains, but inflation is 6%, you've actually lost 1% in purchasing power. If you had 7% in gains, but inflation is 6%, you've only made 1% on your money. Of course right now, real inflation is much higher than 6%.

My son just moved into his dorm room at Liberty University today. My husband, when buying a few things my son still needed, went a little crazy buying the family Liberty University stuff.. I think it was his way of coping with our son leaving home.
I am so proud of my son. He will do amazing and be a total success. I just hope we can survive his leaving. We're all going to miss him so much. We are still trying to get my youngest, who has Down Syndrome, to understand that his big brother may never live with us again (although hwe might have a few summers and a few Christmas breaks left with us). My husband and I are going to seriously miss our son, but my youngest is probably going to have a very hard time adjusting to his brother being gone. He doesn't fully understand at this point.

I always grease my pans, but what I use depends on what I'm cooking and how hot I want to cook it. Also, cast iron or carbon steal skillets make the food taste better. I don't know why, but it does. At lower temperatures I use butter or coconut oil (more often butter unless I don't want the butter taste for some reason). At higher temperatures I use ghee, lard, or beef tallow. The satisfaction of raising a child from infant to adult and seeing them go off and be a success is greater than the satisfaction from any job. My eldest just left this week to go to college. He earned free tuition due to his 35/36 ACT score and $4,000 towards room and board due to getting into the honors program. He also has 50 something credits due to taking college classes during highschool. With this situation college will be worth what he spends. He is totally ready and is going to excel. I'm so proud. Every minute I spent raising him and homeschooling him was totally worth it and was probably the most productive thing I have done in my life.

This is an important graph. The Biden administration is claiming that Inflation has fallen by more than half, but that still puts inflation much higher than it was before. To add to that, real inflation is much worse than the manipulated inflation reported by the government. Another thing that most of the population doesn't understand is that inflation would have to go negative to get prices back to what they were. Even if inflation went to zero, costs would still remain high where they are. Zero inflation would be wonderful, but I don't think the dollar will ever see near zero inflation again.

Also, I used to dread getting to Revelation when I was reading through my Bible. It seemed so confusing and hard to understand which made it seem far away. Today, reading Revelation is like reading the day's news. We have all of the technology to make those "confusing" things come true. It looks more and more literal. I believe our time is short.

This article is primarily about the censorship of doctors who don't follow the government narrative. The scariest part wasn't actually the firing of the doctor or the threat of removing her license for speaking contrary to the approved narrative. The scariest thing was that the medical students she was teaching were complaining that she had traumatized them because she had mentioned that we don't know everything about the vaccines and that the lockdowns were hurting kids. These crybabies, who can't think for themselves or work to discover the truth, are our future doctors.
We are in big trouble if this is an accurate example of most new doctors. (see details from article)

She learned that the students complained about Dr. Moon noting correctly that some information about the COVID-19 vaccines was unknown, such as where in the body the ingredients were distributed and whether they would cause certain health problems.
"I just engaged in some critical thinking with my students. I thought it was something that we're supposed to do in discussion groups, and they had asked me, right?" Dr. Moon said.
"They said that I had caused them trauma and harm by telling them that the vaccines might not be 100 percent safe. Again, these are medical students. This is a medical school. Nothing is 100 percent safe, not even aspirin is 100 percent safe. Everything has the potential for a reaction. So to have that be a complaint against me really surprised me and it really concerned me."
Another complaint related to how Dr. Moon, after students asked how her week in the clinic had gone, relayed how she had seen anxious and depressed children.
Dr. Moon attributed the problems to the harsh lockdowns imposed in Washington state, like much of the country, and questioned why those policies were put into place when children face little risk from COVID-19.
"I just said to my students, I think we need to rethink this masking that we're doing and the social distancing and isolating, I wonder if CDC has considered that we need to think about isolating maybe are more vulnerable in our communities and keeping them more safe and keeping them at home but letting our kids go out there," Dr. Moon said, referring to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"My students again stated that they were traumatized and harmed by that discussion, in a discussion group in a graduate-level medical school," Dr. Moon said.

By the way, I also like a friendly, honest debate with someone I disagree with. Sometimes I learn something new and change my mind. Sometimes I strengthen my own belief and argument because I find more facts supporting my view during the debate. I also like knowing how and why other people think the way they do. All in all, I am better off.
Unfortunately very few people are willing, or even capable, of having a logical and friendly debate. Most people think a person who disagrees is an enemy. Most of the time a person who disagrees just disagrees. There should be no animous.

You seem to want to avoid suffering at all cost, but sometimes the greatest growth happens through suffering and difficulty. We learn more and grow more through difficult times than through easy/enjoyable times. This is true whether you are talking about an individual or a nation or mankind in general. You can see that through the massive downturn in civilization (and morals) that has occurred in the past 50 years. All of the economic and technological growth caused ease (most people didn't have to worry about where there next meal would come from anymore, but instead worried about whether their preferred entertainment would be available or if they might have to hear an opposing viewpoint). Earlier in American history, when times were truly tough, people were happier and grew in wisdom and strength.
In my personal life, I had a string of horrible circumstances happen that led to me being better off (and a greater faith in God). My hot water heat pipes burst flooding the entire downstairs of my house. We had to have giant fans running 24/7 for 6 weeks and the whole downstairs was flood cut. Insurance wanted to only pay 60% of the cost of repairs. We had to get a lawyer to get a settlement to pay 90% of the cost after 9 months of fighting and living in horrible circumstances. As soon as we got the check, we changed insurance companies. Ten days later our house burnt to the ground with not one thing surviving (Fire caused by city employees). Within one month, the new insurance company had paid for the house, the trees, the barn, and a year's rent for while we rebuilt. A month later our car engine burnt up.
A month later my husband ruptured his Achilles tendon. Our rental house had the bedroom and family room on the same level and only a few feet away. The house that burnt down had the bedroom upstairs and very steep/narrow steps and the family room downstairs. We had also had an electric recliner donated to us. Recovery was so much better in the rental house than it would have been in the house that burnt down.
With the extra money from the original settlement and the full payment from insurance, we were able to build our dream home, designed for every stage of life (and in a very fire proof manner) and wind up with a paid off house. We are all better off having been through those hard times than before. Not one member of the family, if given the opportunity to go back and avoid the fire and flood, would chose to do so. We are stronger mentally and as a family than before the hard times and we have more consideration of others going through hard times and can be an encouragement to them.
I would never give up the hard times even if given the chance.

If you look at the trees in Spirit Lake that were knocked down and fosslilized by the erruption of Mount St. Helens in the 1980s (forget exact year), you can see exactly how this can happen. The trees in the lake also match in how they have most roots, branches, and bark removed from the trees just like most polystrate fossil trees that are assumed to be millions of years old and to have died in place.
There is even coal forming at the bottom of the lake.

The point made is that we are told that the Big Bang and Dark Matter are fact when the evidence does not say so. They keep having to add fudge factors to the Big Bang because the evidence doesn't match the theory nor the predictions made by the Big Bang Theory. Does any of this 100% disprove the Big Bang? No, it does not. Are there other theories that explain the evidence better without the fudge factors? Yes.
One point in the article is that we can't do true experimental science relating to Cosmology and therefore can't prove anything for certain. On the other hand some theories match the evidence better. The Big Bang and billions of years don't match the evidence best and therefore should definitely not be pushed as fact. Although I believe the Big Bang Theory is nonsense, if they pushed it as their preferred theory of many possible theories, I wouldn't have a problem with it or them. That is not what is done, though. They promote the Big Bang as fact and anyone who questions it at all is treated as a quack. That isn't science. That is tyranny. The flat Earthers and Earth-centric gallaxy proponents did the same. The Covid fearmongers did the same. The Global Warming fearmongers did the same. Silencing opposing views is the opposite of science.

Nothing in the Big Bang Theory works without adding dark matter and dark energy which have never been detected. All attempts have failed miserably. Instead of trying to force the Big Bang despite evidence to the contrary and multiple rescuing devices to make it plausible, maybe scientists should look for another theory to explain the universe.

If you believe God is in control of all events, of all the rulers in this world, then there is no need to worry regardless of your eschatological beliefs. I believe as many do that God is sovereign. That is, nothing happens outside of His will.
Satan, the prince of the air, rules through the kingdoms of men. But Satan is not omniscient or omnipotent. Only God has those qualities. Satan is a powerless punk by comparison to the Creator God of the universe. Nothing Satan does is outside God’s will, whether it is revealed or secret. Nor can it be.
God uses the evil ones like Satan and his followers to accomplish His will. God says:
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Isaiah 45:7
This verse does not mean God created the evil but that He created the people or angels who embrace evil. It means He created the agents, that with free will, who choose to do evil deeds. But God sees all things in space and time. He is omniscient. So He uses these evil characters to achieve His own will. That is especially true of Satan, who was once Lucifer the light bearer, the top angel in heaven.
Jesus is coming back to the world soon and it will not be as a “suffering servant” (Isaiah 53, 1 Peter 2:21–25) but as the “lion of the tribe of Judah” (Revelation 5:5). When exactly that is going to happen we do not know. But the scene is set in Revelation 13:
And he [the false prophet] causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six [666].
Revelation 13:16-18
Very rapidly that beast system is being put in place with digital IDs, digital currencies, and mass surveillance systems. Once they have that in place it will be very difficult to enter into a store to buy food. Some stores are already doing this where customers must sign in with a digital/biometric ID and pay with their credit card or digital cashless wallet.
So if Revelation chapter 13 and 14 is anything to go by, I say “bring it on”! The sooner the better. Revelation 14:1 tells us the Lamb of God stands on Mount Zion the heavenly city and calls His children who are sealed with God’s mark in their foreheads. Verse 14:3-5 tells us the redeemed, those who are “virgins”, meaning not defiled with the profane world, will be taken to God’s throne in heaven. This is another description of the resurrection of the believers.

So many people compare themselves to other people and therefore feel good about themselves because they are better than that other person in whatever area they have chosen to look at. In many cases that person is better in another area, but even if they aren't, that is the wrong standard. The only rightful standard is Jesus and the Bible, his word.

Homeschooling was the best decision I've ever made.
One of the best things about homeschooling is it allows customization to optimize education to each kid's individual strengths, weaknesses, and interests. You can spend extra time to make sure they understand the things that are difficult, so they don't lose the foundation they need for other learning. You can rush through the things they pick up quickly and not waste their time on endless repetition. When you find something that is interesting, you can take a deep dive into that area and learn a lot. There is nothing that kids will learn better or faster than something they find interesting.
It is funny when you ask a homeschooled kid what grade they are in. Sometimes they just look at Mom questioning, but most of the time the answer is something like, "Well I am in 9th grade for Math, 8th grade for History, 8th grade for English, and 11th grade in Science." They can be at the right level for themselves in each individual subject rather than being forced to be at a certain level based on their age. The right level for any particular subject may be above or below the government school level.
Since homeschooling is customized for each kid, it is also amazing if you have a gifted kid and/or a special needs kid. I have both. My gifted kid has been reading at the college level since 2nd grade and we studied relatavistic physics for fun the summer between 8th & 9th grade. He does have trouble with handwriting so we did handwriting through 8th grade, but even in elementary school, he did papers on the computer because handwriting was so difficult for him that he couldn't compose properly if he had to handwrite. My youngest son has down syndrome, is 16, but uses mostly 2nd & 3rd grade material. He has grown so much since I brought him home (for 8th grade). Nothing I used with my gifted son works with my special needs son and vice versa, but both have thrived greatly. I also have a wonderful relationship with both.
Homeschooling wasn't just good for my kids. It was wonderful for me. I got to relearn/unlearn what I had learned in school. I have a great relationship with my boys. I have the pride of seeing my oldest leaving in a few weeks and knowing he is totally ready to be on his own.

One of the best about homeschooling is the kind of socialization that is taught. Kids in government schools learn only how to socialize with other kids of the exact same age. Homeschooled kids can comfortable interact with kids much younger, kids much older, and adults. You can almost always identify a homeschooled kid because they will look you (an adult) in the eye, shake your hand, and hold an intelligent conversation with you. Most government schooled kids won't do any of that. They avoid adults, whose wisdom they could learn from, like the plague.

CREAMY ITALIAN RABBIT SOUP:
Serves: 6-8 Servings
INGREDIENTS:
• 4 Tablespoons Butter
• 2 Tbs apple cider vinegar
• 1 Rabbit parted
• Several Garlic Scapes (Original recipe called for1 Leek, Only White Portion, Sliced Thin)
• 1/2 cup sliced carrots (I used dried)
• 3-4 Garlic Cloves, Minced (I used 2 tsp minced)
• 1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste (I used a dried powdered tomato)
• 1/4 Cup White Wine (Dry Wine, i.e. Sauvignon Blanc)
• 4 Cups Chicken Chicken Broth
• 4 Teaspoon Italian Seasoning
• 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne pepper powder
• 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
• 4 Teaspoon smoked Salt (Maladon)
• 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
• 1 Cup Heavy Cream
• 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
• 1 cup green beans
• 1 cup frozen peas (& carrots)
• 1 can chicken broth
• fresh basil (optional)
• Beef gelatin powder (several scoops)
• Salt & Pepper, to taste
DIRECTIONS:
1.) Put rabbit & apple cider vinegar in crock pot and just cover rabbit with water. Cook over night.
2.) Remove rabbit from crockpot and separate meat from bone. Throw bone away. Shred the rabbit and return to crockpot.
3.) To start the base of the soup, add butter to a large dutch-oven or deep cast iron frying pan. Add leeks, garlic scapes (and/or leeks), & carrots to a pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally and season with salt and pepper.
4.) Add tomato paste, white wine, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, onion power, and crushed red pepper flakes to sautéed veggies. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent garlic from burning. Add rabbit and toss to coat meat with soup base.
5.) Add chicken broth, cook covered until boiling.
6.) Pour contents of skillet into crock pot, add gelatin powder, green beans, peas, and carrots and cook for 10-12 minutes, covered. Once everything is hot and tender add heavy cream, milk, fresh basil, and parmesan cheese to pot. Stir to combine and cook for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
4.) Serve with extra parmesan, basil, and crushed red pepper flakes. Enjoy!

I made the mistake of getting Giant Chinchillas. They are super cute and super friendly which makes butchering time much more painful than with any other animal we have butchered. I should've gotten an albino New Zealand or Californian and it would be less hard to butcher. We've only butcher 2 so far.

I miss my chickens. I used to have chickens for meat and for eggs (Buff Orphiingtons were the best and good in cold climates), but developed a lung sensitivity and had to chose between eggs and breathing. The chemicals absolutely interfere with health, especially male health.
I've commented that my eldest son, who is an intellectual, not an athlete, so does very limited exercise, is much stronger than me even though I exercise a lot daily. I've commented that I can't compete with youth and testosterone. When the males have reduced testosterone they are weaker physically, but also mentally. They seem to have less of the protective instinct. Those in power definitely like that trend.

I'm reading a very interesting book, called "The Great Controversy". It was originally written in the late 1800s, but this is a more modern version. It starts with some great history of the church. It then gets into some eschatology and the author's interpretation of prophecy and end times. (I haven't finished yet, so I don't know for sure what the great controversy is).
Although the author does a fantastic job using scripture to support his theories, based on what we know now and what is happening in the world, I'm pretty positive many of his conclusions and interpretations of prophecy are incorrect, but it is interesting how and why he believes what he believes. So far, my biggest take-away is to be careful being dogmatic when interpreting prophecy, especially end-times prophecy. Even with some disagreements, I am learning a lot and getting a lot out of the book.
I think the author's biggest problem is not thinking about end times prophecy as being as big as reality will be. He equates smaller, more local events as what is predicted by the Bible where I believe the true events will be worldwide or even universe wide events. So often we look at God and his actions as small, but they aren't small at all.

Well, yesterday we butchered our first rabbit we bred and grew out. It was much harder (emotionally) than killing and cleaning a deer or butchering a chicken. It took way too long, but now that we know what we are doing, the next one should take less than half of the time. I regret buying such a cute and friendly breed of bunny.
I have creamy italian rabbit stew in the crockpot ready for dinner (I just have to add the cream and parmesan when I get home and cook an extra 5-10 minutes). I'm really looking forward to eating our own home grown meat.
We lovingly call it Stuart Stew because we named every single baby Stuart to remind us that they will all become stew, but to make it easy to refer to them. It is a bit confusing because all of our babies were female and Stuart makes me want to call them "he/him".

I think there is a lot to learn from his words, but, as a Christian, I do think his one mistake was not relying more on God and trying to be good solely by his own power.

Dogs are definitely stronger than people. Some years ago, we had a Samoyed who we got fixed when she went into heat. We then realized we had scheduled climbing a forteener (mountain over 14,000 feet in Colorado) the following weekend. We really wanted to do the hike and decided to try figuring we could carry her down if we had to. She ran around enough to climb the mountain 3 times. We kept fighting over who got to hold the leash for our Alaskan Malamute because he would help pull us up the mountain.

Helping people with overwhelming student loan debt sounds nice until you look at where the money comes from. In order to help people who foolishly took out massive student loans to get useless degrees, the government is stealing money from those who paid off their student loans, worked hard so they had no student loans, or didn't go to college and are working hard at blue collar jobs. This is theft! This is slavery! This is wrong!
Instead of stealing from those who made wise decisions to help those who made foolish decisions, maybe we should start teaching kids to make better decisions regarding college. Not everyone is better off going to college. People should look at tuition costs and go to cheaper colleges if they go to college. People need to look at whether a major will actually help them to succeed in life (HINT: victomology degrees make you less likely to get a job because no employer, in their right mind, will hire someone who has learned to be a victim because it insures getting sued). People also need to look at tradeoffs. Maybe a person will get a higher wage if they go to college, but a person who choses to not go to college starts earning a living 4+ years earlier. They don't have the cost of college and they definitely don't have the interest on college loans. If you take what they earn over a lifetime and compare it to what a college grad makes over a lifetime minus the cost of college and college loans, the person, who skipped college, will frequently do better. Obviously it varies. A doctor/lawyer/engineer who picked a state college and worked to get scholarships is definitely going to be better off than a person who didn't go to college and never gets any skills and works at fast food and retail establishments. On the other hand, a person who gets on the job training as a plumber/electrician/welder is going to be much better off than a person who gets a victomology degree (women's studies, black studies, gender studies) and goes to an expensive private college and takes out large student loans.
We need to teach wise choices, not one size fits all solutions.

This "study" uses a flow model to model blood flow through the carotid artery. Their conclusion is that people, with partially blocked arteries, could have a stroke caused by elevated heart rate during exercise. There is zero evidence that this really happens, but this study could encourage people to not exercise, despite the evidence that exercise is healthy and increases lifespan.
This looks like another example of unhealthy lifestyles being encourages rather than healthy lifestyles.

If you are an adult, you can mutilate yourself to your heart's content. I don't like it and don't think it is wise, but it is their decision.
When talking about kids, they don't understand the consequences of their actions and are easily influenced by authority figures, like the teachers and influencers saying everyone who is trans is wonderful. These kids, that frequently are unsure of themselves and feeling unimportant, chemically or surgically castrate themselves and ruin their whole lives not understanding what this means for them. It is evil. It is wrong. It needs to be stopped.
None of this should ever happen until they are old enough to understand what they are doing to themselves. We are seeing more and more examples of kids who were rushed through the process and regretted it, but they can never go back. It is so life changing and body damaging, I'd even be OK having a one year waiting period to make sure adults know what they are doing to themselves and the consequences of their actions. Not every 18 year old is capable of thinking through the consequences, either.
I don't think most of the people pushing this illogical, unscientific, and harmful ideology care about the wellbeing of these kids. I believe this is a way of reducing the population by getting kids to castrate themselves. The cross sex hormones also tend to cause health problems that will cause most of them to die early. It isn't about rights. It is about reducing the population and destroying the family.

It is hard to say. We had major problems with our installer and didn't get to use our system for 3 years after it was 99% installed. They wouldn't finish the final hookup. By the time we had it connected, we were so grateful to have it working, I never looked closely at how much energy it saved us. Whatever the case, I do think it will be a long payoff (guessing >10 years, but haven't done math). I guess it depends on how long the system really lasts and how much efficiency it loses over time. We haven't had it running long enough to know that information.
I do need to study when we connected it and what happened to our power usage. I was in charge of getting the system working and my husband pays the bills, so we haven't connected the two.
I do really like having the knowledge that whatever happens with electricity, we will be in good shape. We have had a several hour power outage and it supplied power to all of our refrigerators and freezers and we had light, so that was nice. We have a wood/coal burning stove that will keep us warm. The only things we would deal with without power would be A/C and clothes washer/dryer that pull too much power and therefore aren't connected.
Our well has a separate DC pump and solar panel, so we have water (although at a reduced flow) if power goes out. I just have to go out and flip a switch. We keep the DC pump off when the power is connected because the two pumps working against each other can cause an early failure. The DC pump and solar panel were pretty cheap (only runs when sun is shining so the only water in the house at night is what is in our two pressure tanks). The house solar was pretty expensive.

Until the ability to store energy efficiently, cheaply, and cleanly is invented, solar and wind will never be feasible on a large scale. Adding wind and solar to the grid actually makes the grid less efficient because it is very inefficient to ramp the power plants up and down and they have to continually run the gas/coal/oil plants so the power is there when the wind suddenly stops blowing or a cloud suddenly blocks the sun from the solar panels. As they add more "green" power, the use of gas/coal/oil can actually increase.

Homeschooling my kids was the best decision I ever made. I'll admit, my oldest was in government schools through 2nd grade (It was handy having someone else teach basic handwriting and reading and the indoctrination wasn't as bad at that level, especially at the school he attended) (We have school choice in Natrona County). My youngest, who has Down Syndrome, was in government schools through 8th grade, but he only had 3 teachers. Two were a husband and wife that we have known for years and the 3rd was someone they highly recommended. The moment my son couldn't be with them, I pulled him out and homeschooled him at home. He is actually progressing faster at home than under the schooling of specialists in special needs kids. (The couple that were his teachers had multiple down syndrome and autistic children, most of which were adopted so they were very experienced).
There are so many resources for homeschooling available now so you can find something for every budget and for every child's learning style and for every parent/teacher's teaching style. My eldest is borderline genius and my youngest is 16 but doing 2nd/3rd grade work. There is nothing in their learning styles that is similar, so I had to use totally different methods to teach them, but both have excelled with homeschooling.

The weather has been weird this year. We had a record breaking snow storm of over 3 feet of wet snow in April. It has rained several times a week (normally we get only 12 inches/year, and I'm pretty sure we've already surpassed that). We got 1.5" in an hour and about 3" in 24 hours last week. Last night we got hard rain and hail and today, the 2nd day of summer, is supposed to be a high of 61 F.
Overall I like the weather. The rain has been good for my garden. The cooler temperatures are make it not miserable when I'm outside weeding the garden or doing other yardwork. Everything is bright green and beautiful where usually things would already be a drab tan by now.
I have no idea whether this is just a fluke year or a change in climate, but I'll take it.

It isn't knowing how. It is that our rabbits are sweeter, cuter, and cudlier than anything we've butchered before. We had zero issue with chickens. We've hunted and field dressed deer and elk. Somehow rabbits feel different.

Government doesn't care what people want. Those in government want control and nothing will give them more control than a CBDC, so it will be pushed hard.
Unfortunately, as much as most people don't want it, if the government starts giving out entitlements and other handouts (what people consider "free" money), most people will jump in with arms open wide in order to get their money. Once people are used to using the CBDC, they will remove the ability to use other currencies including the plain USD. It will be too late to do anything about it at that time. I do think precious metals and bitcoin will help and be a workaround at least for a while. It is hard to know longterm.

I wouldn't be surprised if all of them contribute in at least some cases, but I'd also guess (educated guess) that the mothers inflicting this on their sons is the biggest and most common contributor. I don't believe hardly any child believes they were born into the wrong body unless someone, in a position of authority or influence, suggests it to the child.

Well said.
Also the DNA language is more complex than anything ever written by man. We know that many sections of DNA can be read forwards to do one thing and backwards to do another. One section may be used to combine a segment in one spot with a segment in another spot to do yet another task. This can't happen by accident because a small change, that might have a benefit when read forwards would be catastrophic when read the opposite direction. DNA is so complex we can't really understand it. If we did, then we couldn't deny God's handiwork.

They are now saying we have gotten over 3 inches of rain and we usually only get 12 inches per year. This is a seriously wet year. In April we got over 3 feet of wet Spring snow which set a record and now this rain. It will be interesting to see how much precipitation we get for the year. I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't a record year.

The best exercise equipment I ever bought was a WorkFit exercise bike that has a platform for my laptop. I don't allow myself any computer time, other than while pedaling, until I have put in an hour on the bike. I can easily check/clear emails, check minds/MeWe/NOSTR, and even do some of my work work while pedaling. I love being able to multitask.
