Started using RSS as a nostr client and made a separate feed for each of my subscriptions.
Analysed one year of each ones posts, and saw that just half of them have something interesting and with a good signal-to-noise ratio.
Reduce me subscriptions from 42 to 25, and maybe will reduce even more.
Spent some time spent analysing people's posts to see if it's worth keeping it, and it's a tiring manual process. On the future I might implement an automated Keywords extractor to analyze all posts using RAKE algorithm and implement it on my RSS bridge, so users can know at a glance what a profile is posting about.
This will enable fast Discovery of new profiles while keeping the feed clean.
RSS is powerful!

I made a bridge to convert nostr into RSS, with controls for turning replies on and off, blacklisted and white listed word.
For instance, all of your posts can be read via RSS like this:
https://nostr-to-rss.deno.dev/feed?users=vitorpamplona.com&replies=false&blacklist=bitcoin,btc
This will show only conversations that you started, and will block anything containing words like Bitcoin,bitcoiners,BTC
If you want only notes which texts like amethyst, java, you do:

Today I am improving my NOSTR to RSS bridge so each of my subscriptions (follows) get its own feed, all at one shot.
This way I can filter out who I really want to listen to. This is not possible with current nostr clients because its all a holy mess of people talking over each other, even if you read only people you are registered to.
My API will give you back a standard OPML file which all RSS understands (Feeder, RSS Guard in Linux, etc)
I do not have much time to code, and the advantage of that is that I only code things which are really really useful (at least for me :))

Is anyone making a client which combats spam and shows only relevant topics? If there is, I'd like to recomend 2 algos:
1) structural topic modeling, to automatically identify short words resuming the topics spoken by a user
2) gaussian naive bayes, which Automatically identifies if those topics are of interest to another user

Yes, I have just crated a server for that:
The objective is being able of using great RSS clients with nostr (for isntance, Feeder for Android, from spacecowboy).
It has whitelists and filters to track replies or first posts only.
To use it, point your RSS client to:
https://nostr-to-rss.deno.dev/feed?users=npub1,npub2,npub3&kinds=30023,1&whitelist=word1,word2,word3,replies=true
Example:
http://nostr-to-rss.deno.dev/feed?users=npub1acg6thl5psv62405rljzkj8spesceyfz2c32udakc2ak0dmvfeyse9p35c&whitelist=gossip,politics&replies=false
As you see, you can track multiple users at one shot
Whitelist is only needed if you want to block everything except those words. I have added this to ensure I only receive feeds with topics I find useful
replies=true or false indicate if you want to accept replies or only posts which start a conversation.
Other query parameters might be added later if needed
It might take 20 seconds to refresh. I need to optimize this later.

The only thing I complain about the bridge is that 90% of the times I reply to someone on mastodon, the reply doesn't appear on mastodon. 10% of the time it does. Ps: it's to the same person on all cases.

I find RSS clients very good, specially he Feeder client from space cowboy.
Thus, I have enabled RSS clients to read nostr posts by means of a service.
The service has the following features I find useful:
-optional whitelist of words, to ensure I only received topics of my interest
-disable/enable posts which start a thread or which replies to another post
-tracking multiple users with one feed
-specifies kinds of messages to subscribe (currently 30023 (long form) and 1 (standard note)
For example, to track topics sterted by Mike Dilger containing the words politics or gossip, you would do:
http://nostr-to-rss.deno.dev/feed?users=npub1acg6thl5psv62405rljzkj8spesceyfz2c32udakc2ak0dmvfeyse9p35c&whitelist=gossip,politics&replies=false
-other filters can be created if needed
- it is still a little slow and might take 20 seconds to sync

This just remembered my of when I spent my student time in Berlin, and I would wake up at 6 in the morning, drive my bike with some friends thru the snow for 1.5 hours with our cheap student bikes until the reached the Templin sauna in East Berlin.
We would take hot sauna, jump on the snow, scream, run, then come back to the sauna, me and my best friends from South Korea.\
\
Then we would go back very late, I think 10 pm, travel thru the snow again, arrive at home and sleep.
One day at the sauna was like taking 1 month of holidays, specially because it was a nude sauna.\
\
One other great thing was to go to nude lakes and spend the whole day there. I could never haven been happier than at this period in my life.

Another interesting way of finding new people is Listing all nostr communities and adding the owners of the ones you like.
I listed 300 of them and added around 20 people to my list in this way, including @nprofile…hjv6.

I fast some days also and feel its amazing.
You can fast daily using interval fasting, in which you can eat during at time window of 8 hours, and on the remaining 16 hours you can only drink. Its quite good.
To be practical, I just skip breakfast, as I want to have dinner with my wiife

If you remember that China is getting economically stronger, I would suggest learning some Chinese, or at least get some intro into their culture.
I also also that have some psychological tools to help dealing with stress and uncertainty is great help.
On that side, I found a book about Cognitive Behavourial Therapy which is very good. I book I got indicated by a therapist which I found useful was "Mind over mood" from Greenberger and "Cognitive Behavourial Therapy for DUmmies" from Branch/WIlson

I always thought of developing an App for hobby but Always thought it would be too hard to get users.
Now with nostr I know I have a huge user base with very easy access to it, so it's much more motivating.
To have so many apps in nostr, even with low quality, is just an indicator of bow easy it is to create something on. Nostr. It's a good sign!

What I did myself was to make a client which searches ALL communities and shows me their creators.
So if I like the Community title, then I follow the people in a special list.
With the time, I move them to my real follow list or I remove them if I don't like the messages.

I played with ELM some years ago, and recently I wanted to get into it again. At my time, there was create-elm-app, which enabled hot reloading and made life easier, but now I tried it again and it was complaining about old SSLs, and when I tried import NPM packages into the .JS file, it complained about some babel translations.
All my headache disappeared when I got the recommendation to try the Parcel JS bundler.
I have found 2 or 3 articles on the topic, and only one worked, which I post below. It was written by Kazushi Kawamura and uses Parcel, Yarn and elm init.
