i did test CORS and recieved similar results as using #[1] 's verified site (since he offers NIP05aaS i assume his results are what I am looking for).
not sure what failed results would look like.

I am trying to set up NIP05 and am running into troubles. I am using my github.io address. i have added ./wellknown/nostr.json ("everythingxbtc": "[npub-as-hex]", believe I have CORS enabled , NIP05 settings i have "everythingxbtc@[site].github.io" something i am missing?

This is a small criticism I have over this protocol. It will not be easy to teach users to not trust, but to verify. It's a dopamine rush to see your idol affirm your thoughts on a discussion you care deeply about. You have to stop and verify.

I agree with your sentiment with Saylor. He makes many valid points, but if one believes bitcoin is a pyramid, he is at the top.
I also understand the desire to have a "neutral source" that has no stake in the asset. The problem is, once you actually understand bitcoin, you would be acting I'm opposition to your own interests by not participating in the network, and by earning, purchasing, and using bitcoin, you gain an experience with it that can't be rivaled by theoretical study. You know true financial responsibility.
However, i disagree that universities do not benefit from our current fiat monetary system. I say this as a believer of academic pursuit. I am a first generation graduate who relied on assistance to be able to achieve that climactic moment. Through taxes, government subsidized loans, grants, donations from entities with vested interests, all of this money comes with a caveat.

He is a professor, environmentalist, philosopher and (if you can stomach it) bitcoiner. If you're serious about understanding why I believe bitcoin is necessary for the energy transition, take 30 minutes to watch his presentation.

upon first reading your response i was turned off by the idea, but sitting with it for a moment, i realized that the proof of work is on the relays side here. the value the reader has is only transfered if they deem the work the relay is doing as valuable enough to pay 🤔

I storngly encourage you to look at the works of birdapp:@dsbatten and the most recent episodes of What Bitcoin Did with birdapp:@thetrocro and birdapp:@bquittem. They really help lay out the potential of Bitcoin as a force for good for the environment.
Did you know that cambridge doesnt account for off-grid usage? or waste/stranded resources (which is not and will not power homes because it either isnt already or there are no homes there to power) Bitcoin is actually on a path to reduce warming by 0.5 C through mitigating the effects of methane leaks. There is a lot of misinformation around energy and bitcoin. It makes a lot of sense why when you realize that much of media is paid for through derivatives of central banking.
I am an environmentalist who wrestled with the same concerns you have had, but show me another technology that is incentivised towards creating actual airborne carbon capture facilities this side of the century.
what looks like an mere investment technology is actually a tool for mankind, on the order of magnitude as the printing press, plow, shipping container, internet and dare I say wheel or fire.

I've seen pushback on this idea from commercial miners. I generally lean towards open data. What data in particular would you like to see? Would pleb miners be able to provide such detail? Are you looking for energy use in particular (ongrid/offgrid, energy type, kWh)?
