Users simply topup a balance and use AI but what makes @nprofile…2cth different?
Routstr is a decentralized market of AI providers not a single company selling inference. Independent node runners set their own prices based on their costs. Routstr doesn't set any prices, the market does. Users pay providers per query using #bitcoin #cashu.
Nodes announce themselves on nostr to be discovered and users log in using nostr offering them to save their chats encrypted to nostr relays.
Nodes compete on uptime, models, reputation and price.

Yes tested last night. My assumptions are that using "routstr" pulls from the api.routstr.com and therefore may need a cashu token as the api key field. Which is fine but no way to monitor the value or exit with the value.
By using the "custom provider" option I was able to add my specific routstr node bse url https://privateprovider.xyz and add an sk-xxx open api key created from my node on routstr chat. That allows me to monitor the value of the api key and redeem back the value on exit.
There is a routstr sdk which may clarify this.
I also happen to have routstr daemon running opencode, so when I used open code in nostr-station, opencpde pulled automatically from my unified routstr daemon balance and the cheapest routstr provider for that model.
That was very cool because of how well all the programs played together.

Hey guys, I updated to v0.2.1 and have some questions.
I can no longer log into the admin with my password. Worked before update.
The update did have a warning that says: one or more build-args [NEXT_PUBLIC_ADMIN_API_KEY] were not consumed
On the "node identity cheat sheet" page that appears on my domain it says unable to reach /v1/info at http ://127.0.0.1:8000
docker-compose shows up and healthy

Every model has individual pricing. A basic question is 1 sat to 10 sats. Like all AI usage the larger the context the larger the token usage. Top models need a minimum balance of a few thousand sats to get started. You can deposit cashu or pay with lightning to the mint. Then you can send your remaining balance out after you are done. You don't have to keep any funds with the mint beyond when you use them unless you want. You can create a new nostr npub/nsec every time or create one just for routstr or use your real one if you like.
